Originally with Pinellas County Sherriff office (08/2019-1/2022) but taken over by contract agency Naphcare (1/2022-8/2022 FULL TIME- 40 hours per week

Evaluate and treat inmates for acute and chronic health conditions.

Provide direct and indirect medical care to meet the physiological, psychological and emotional needs of the patients

Evaluate and assess inmates during routine sick call,

Evaluate patients who have returned from off-site treatment

Admit and discharge patients from all units in the facility

Sole in-house provider from 12 am-7am. Able to make independent decisions regarding patient care.

Admit any patient admitted to the hospitalist program

Respond to rapid responses as a member of the code team

Provide consultation services when requested

Coordinate direct admissions, when appropriate

Take night time phone call coverage for all hospitalists

Perform history and physical examinations, orders and evaluates appropriate diagnostic studies, and provides care to acute care medical patients.

Admitting patients, managing the daily care of inpatients including entering orders and progress note documentation, transferring and discharging patients.

Provide coordination of care including transitional care, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient family meetings and communication, and consultant management.

Utilize order sets and templates in accordance with facility guidelines.
