Tool Inspection F-35, C-5 and C-130 production lines.

Utilizing Cad / MCAM data loaded models into Verisurf. Utilizing Api Radian and Leica laser trackers and associated equipment we attained an alignment with the CADAM/Aircraft tooling and the Aircraft. Created reports to show verification of data engineering was looking for. Did Visual Periodic Inspection Visual (PIV’s) on tooling per engineering data to ensure tooling used in aircraft manufacturing was ready for production use. Maintained Spread sheets for scheduling tooling inspections.

June 2010 – Oct 2020

Tool Planner on the C-130 program. Review and analysis of engineering documents for the purpose of developing work instructions for the creation and altering of tooling, internal and external manufacturing of aircraft and individual parts, and creation of Material Masters for both Production Operations and Global Sustainment. Utilized SAP to create Material Masters and analyze requirements in relation to limited usage for the CAPPS software for components on aircraft. Good working relationship with a diverse team of managers, engineers and hourly employees from the C-130J Program.

May 2003 – June 2010

Swing Shift Lead Coater Finisher on the F-22A production line, Final assembly.

Provide and foster team building skills and assistance to fellow employees, ensured 130+ F-22’s were complete and in compliance with applicable Lockheed blue prints, specifications, and procedures. Interfaced with all levels of management, technical and floor personnel including the swing shift line manager, other supervisors, Ops Techs, E&E’s, Structures, Tank Sealers, etc to coordinate their objectives with ours so that our standard goals for the shift were met with everyone’s cooperation and understanding of what we as Coaters were putting on the aircraft for the most efficient productivity rates and safety. As the Swing Shift Lead I was depended on for my ability to have - for the most part, the entire crew work independently and without direct supervision, to provide relief for the supervisor so that they could focus on a multitude of tasks that were in addition to monitoring the swing shift crew.

May – 2002 – May 2003

Contractor – Traveled extensively around the country to perform line maintenance, repair, assembly and inspection on General Aviation Aircraft, Boeing Business Jets, Department of Defense research and development of Mine Sweeping Helicopters technologies (USN & Lockheed Martin) and Bell experimental production helicopters under NAVAIR (USMC).

December 1999 – May 2002

USAF – C-130H – Propulsions Systems Technician - Active Reserve Technician – Performed Flight Line Maintenance, Test Cell, and Iso inspections of the 4 engines and Auxiliary Power Unit. This required the knowledge of the C-130H aircraft structures and systems to correctly identify and locate how the engine systems interfaced with the airframe and location of components for troubleshooting purposes.

Set up Turbine rebuild kits and prop build up kits, for when we pulled the prop and QEC from the aircraft, into the shop, and repair/replaced/rebuilt propeller assemblies, turbine sections, and remove and replacement of the reduction gear boxes.

August 1998 – December 1999

Inspection of Space Shuttles Main Fuel Tank structural assemblies, utilizing in depth analytical skills to review, analyze, investigate, and report quality compliance and discrepancies in accordance process controls. Verification of geometric tolerances and worked closely with suppliers, manufacturing personal, engineers, customers, vendors and subcontractor representatives to ensure the highest of quality metrics were met and find solutions when the products did not. Elevated the inspection process to be in line with ISO 9001 standards to align with our foreign customers (BAE), and interpretation of customer supplied documents and blueprints and apply their intent for evaluating acceptance of quality.

November 1989 – March 1998

USMC – CH-53 A/D/E Helicopter Structures / Hydraulics systems mechanic, supervisor, inspection, instructor. Inspection included performing A/B/C/D phase maintenance inspections. During this time period I received a Certificate of Accommodation for performing 12 inspections with two other Marines in a 3 month period to prepare for an 8 plane detachment for a Combined Armed Forces Exercise deployment. Performed inspections of aircraft for adherence to Phased Maintenance Deck, and Sikorsky process specifications and blue prints this included the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. This was to apply their intent from the documents for evaluating acceptance of quality from structural repairs performed on the helicopter with the aid of the Structural repair manual for identification and analysis of questioned aircraft structural parts and sub assemblies and determine whether or not a repair could be performed at our level of maintenance. As a hydraulic mechanic / instructor I performed testing and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems and ruled out the aircraft electrical systems in component fault isolation.
