(2013-June 2015) (Retired) The Boeing Company, Advanced Weapons and Missile Systems
Designed an Instrumentation Interface (hardware and test firmware) for an advanced missile guidance processor to permit code validation during captive carry flight tests.
Tools used: Mentor Graphics Expedition Schematic Capture, Mentor Graphics Hyperlynx Signal Integrity, Xilinx ISE 14.7.
(2010-2013) The Boeing Company, Flight Test Instrumentation
Designed the power supply and lead the thermal management design for an Ethernet Data Acquisition Unit.
Tools used: Mentor Graphics Expedition Schematic Capture, Mentor Graphics Hyperlynx Thermal, LTSPICE.
Designed the input power conditioning circuitry for the Digital Control Acquisition Bus (a modular distributed data acquisition system developed by Boeing) modules.

Supported the P-8A flight test program at Pax River. Served as an Intellibus (Boeing developed flight test data acquisition system). Subject Matter Expert helping flight test team overcome Intellibus teething issues.
(2008-2010) The Boeing Company, Space and Exploration Systems
System Architect of the Ares Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Served as the RF, Real Time Processing, and Simulation Subject Matter Expert. Developed system architecture, allocated and defined requirements, and developed specifications. Developed Basis od Estimates (BOEs) for change proposals.
(2004-2007) The Boeing Company, Army Programs
Designed the “Plug & Fight Kit” electronics suite for the Integrated Air & Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) Proposal.
Designed Stryker Active Protection System electronics suite. Performed system partitioning and design oversight of all electronics (COTS plus custom) in the system. Duties included requirements allocation, design, VHDL coding, and budget / schedule tracking.
Lead Power System Engineer and Cost Account Manager (CAM) for SLAMRAAM Integrated Fire Control Shelter. Duties consisted of power distribution system design using COTS hardware, subcontractor design verification, and budget and schedule tracking.
(2001-2004) The Boeing Company, Advanced Weapons and Missile Systems
Integrated Product Team (IPT) leader and Cost Account Manager (CAM) for the Flight Test Instrumentation and Telemetry systems and Flight Termination systems on the Joint Common Missile. Duties consisted of requirements flowdown, resource allocation, instrumentation system design, and technical subcontract management.
Designed a Semi-Active LASER (SAL) seeker for Joint Common Missile. Duties consisted of algorithm design, hardware design, communication protocol development, software requirements generation, requirements verification, test development, VHDL coding, customer interface, and missile integration.
(1999-2001) The Boeing Company, Space and Exploration Systems
Lead Project Engineer for the Biological Research Program (BRP), a Space Station experiment. Led a multi-discipline team to provide a solid-state switching power controller for the BRP experiment. Duties consisted of project planning, technical oversight, hardware and software verification, customer interface
(1992 -1999) The Boeing Company/McDonnell-Douglas, Flight Test Instrumentation
Designed a modular multiprocessing signal processor to real time process flight-test dynamics data onboard the F-18E/F aircraft during flight. This signal processor used embedded DSPs and FPGAs to reduce flight test dynamic data turn-around by 90%. Duties consisted of initial concept development, algorithm design, and hardware design using Actel FPGAs.
Designed an AMRAAM message monitor unit to capture and telemeter the radar messages to the AMRAAM missile during weapons release tests on F-15 and F-18.

(1990 -1992) McDonnell-Douglas, Missile Systems
Designed a Scoring and Instrumentation System for the captive carry flight test of a LASER radar seeker. Duties included system design, detailed circuit design, video design, software/hardware interface communication protocol, system and range time synchronization, and scoring camera interface design. Design implemented with Altera PLDs and MIPS R3000 RISC processor.
(1985 -1990) McDonnell-Douglas, Flight Test Instrumentation
Lead the McDonnell-Douglas effort for the Common Airborne Instrumentation System (CAIS) proposal. The SCI/McDonnell-Douglas team won this flight test instrumentation competition.
Developed the Conceptual Design of Flight Test Instrumentation systems for X-30 and LHX proposals.
Designed a flight test digital noseboom interface with digital filtering for F-18 (Australia) flight test program.
Designed a voice digitizing unit implementing continuously variable slope delta (CVSD) modulation for F-15E flight test program.
(1979 -1985) McDonnell-Douglas, Astronautics
Designed several space qualified satellite based Laser Communication receivers for Space Based Laser Communication experiments.
Designed several items of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Special Purpose Test Equipment (SPTE) for the Harpoon Missile Program, the Tomahawk missile Program, and space based Laser Communication Programs.
