Over 10 years hands of experience in the largest milling firm in Kenya (Unga group)&Kenya Nut(Macdamia People),Kitui county,AFC,and Proto energy Limited where I have worked as: Logistics Coordinator, Procurement Officer, Finished good warehouse Supervisor and Engineering stores Officer .

I have also been exposed to first Aid response team; an internal first aid service which Unga has implemented, I have been a staff trainer on first Aid program within the organization. I enjoy solving problems and facing challenges. I have worked in 8, 12, and 16 hour shifts. 8. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

i.Interpreting, advising and implementing procurement procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines related to all procurement transactions;

(iv)Procurement and negotiation using E-Procurement system i.e. IFMIS used by Government of Kenya.

10. CHALLENGES EXPERIENCED

The following are some of the challenges encountered;

(i)Lack of a vibrant developed and educated business community in the rural areas that inhibits effective competition and promotion of e-procurement;

(ii)Challenges in the Interpretation and implementation of the Public Procurement and Disposal Act, 2015 by some of the members of the various committees in procurement whose professional line is not procurement;

(iii)Irregular procurement and interference in decision making by non professionals;

(iv)Inadequate trained professional staff.

(v)Political interference

(vi)Unethical practices such as conflicts of interest by some officers and unethical undue influence by some suppliers/contractors.
