Pre Commissioning and Commissioning Activities

I have a sound knowledge of Commissioning and Pre-Commissioning activities such as P&ID Checking, Line Tracing, Hydro Testing, Blowing, Purging, Inerting, Flushing, Punch List Preparing and Checking, Loop Checking, Leak Testing, Control Valve Stroke Checking, Equipment’s Functional Testing, Carrying out OT Procedures and Start-Up and Shut-Down Operations etc.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Working as a production operator in control room/field and handle the oil and gas facilities independently. The job responsibility includes the following:

Maintaining computerized statistics and logistics.

Testing oil/gas wells through test separator to estimate the well production rates.

Collecting well head/station discharge sample for analysis.

Taking tank samples, recording tank dip level for the calculation inventory and optimum utilizations.

Monitoring performance of the facilities, troubleshooting, reporting operational abnormalities and implementing and corrective measures through link management.

Handling over vessels, tank, and compressors etc., for maintenance and re- commissioning.

Monitoring and adjusting chemicals like demulsifier, corrosion inhibitor, bio-cides, injections and update lube oil and chemical stocks/space.

Make regular routine checks of all equipment and units to ensure that they are functioning correctly in accordance with the standard operating procedure.

Report all equipments and instrument defects and leaks immediately to the production supervisor and take possible corrective action.

Check and record in the plant log sheet each and every hour, and make several recordings such as oil and gas flow, temperature and pressure and record usual occurrences, take emergency prevention steps and report them to the production supervisor.

Start, check and stop pumps locally according to instructions or in case of emergency.

Assist in carrying out the routine weekly run test of equipments like emergency diesel generator, diesel and electrical pumps etc.

Participate under instruction in launching pigs into pipelines, prepare pig stations, remove the pig and inspect it for damages along with the production supervisor.

Check the water/oil interface level in sumps tanks and operate their pumps locally when required.Collect oil, gas and water samples and measure that water cut in oil, salt concentration in the produced water and send the samples to the laboratory for analysis.

Assist in the maintenance of production equipment.

Crude Stabilization Unit

Three phase horizontal separators. Designed to remove light hydrocarbons and water from the incoming well fluid from oil wells and to produce stabilized crude oil. Equipments: High pressure separator, Medium pressure separator, Low pressure separator, Zero pressure vessel., Level, Pressure Checking, Flow Checking Changing The Orifice Of Gas Lines. Operation Of Orifice Chambers, And Test Separator Operation, Well Diversion Manifold Operation . Well Chock Bean Operation (Fixed & Adjustable) Water & Oil Flow Meter “0” Checking (Totalizer, Turbine Flow Meters). Stock Checking Operation of PCV, LCV, FCV, in field Operation, and Sampling of Oil Water, gas & Chemicals.

Oil & Gas Gathering Stations

Operate & Control wells through different headers for optimum production. Oil manifolds, gas lift manifolds, surge tanks, separators (two/three phase), dehydration units, water disposal pumps, crude transfer pumps, chemical injection pumps, gas/oil line pigging operations, well testing, computerized well testing etc.

Operate & Control gas compressors, inter-stage scrubbers, gas treatment, glycol contactors, glycol regeneration unit, gas export, and taking care of routine sampling of oil, gas, glycol & condensate. Skilled in the positive isolation & de-isolation of equipments like vessels & tank for maintenance. Experienced in working with permit systems, gas testing, mechanical and electrical isolation procedures.

Offshore Production

Well-experienced in offshore production installation and rigs. Well testing, well completion, well actuation, choke and bulk manifold, start-up and shutdown procedures, control room operations, emergency procedures, water injections, gas compression, oil shipment, chemical injection etc., worked in Bombay offshore platforms, almost in all the South and North fields in Bombay high, (SHQ, SHP, NQ, BLQ,WIN).

Well Head Operations

Conducted routine inspection and operation of X-Mas tree and flow line check-up for leaks. Flow line-flushing jobs. Launching & receiving pig or scrapper. Monitoring and inspecting of pipelines for leakage and puncture. Isolation & Handover wells to wells services for perforation, acid jobs, wire line operations such as coil tubing, SSV & SSSV operations, well head panel (baker) operations, flow line choke changing, STHP, FTHP, well equalizing, annulus pressure testing, grease and sealant-using, chemical injection, PSL & PSH pilot settings of SSV etc.

Gas dehydration unit

Tri-ethylene glycol (TEG) is used as a dehydrating medium with a circulation rate of 14,355 kg/hr at a concentration of 99.7 %by wt. Operations of Coaleaser Separator, Glycol circulation pumps, Glycol contactor, Glycol over scrubber, TCV, Lean and Rich

Glycol heat exchanger, Flash drum, Carbon acetify Filter, Re boilers, & Surge Tanks operations Reflux condenser, Still Columns, Sampling rich &Lean Glycol Maintaining Ph Propane Refrigeration Unit, Operations and controlling heat exchangers, Operations of propane compressors etc.

Gas Compression and Gas Plant Operations

Worked in gas gathering stations, gas compression facilities, gas plant etc., handled different types of gas compressors (reciprocating and centrifugal), sweet gas purging of H2S gas compressors, isolation & de-isolation of compressors, startup/shutdown logics, recycle and anti-surge functions, scrubbers. Auxiliary pumps, heat exchangers etc., handled gas turbines (Ruston Solar) and gas engines (Waukesha, Caterpillar) as prime movers to compressors. Gas plant operations – pre-water knockout drums, degassing vessels, glycol regeneration unit, propane chiller, exchangers, flash separators, NGL unit, NGL storage tank, mainline gas export and control.

Water Treatment and Injection Plant

Working in pre-treatment of Sea water, water filtration,, etc., filters (dual & multi) detectors, charge pumps & transfer pumps chemical injection, operations and monitoring of water injection system, high pressure injection pumps, injection well head operations and water sampling etc.

Control Panel Operations

Conversant in handling all types of control panels, central control panels, local control panels, value mounted control panels and DCS systems. Various types of valves such as Master valves, Crown valve, Wing valve, SSV, SSSV, PCV, LCV, FCV, TCV, Fisher controllers, pilot operated actuators.

Artificial Lift System

Operated high-pressure gas injection system and high-pressure gas injection wells and artificial gas lift wells (intermittent & continues lift), operated gas lift compressors, casing depressurizing, water lift manifolds, and water lift pumps etc.
