Upgrading and Landscaping of Kenyatta Road (C565) Project Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation of design drawings, typical as well as working drawings to be submitted to the Employer for approval of execution at site.

• Supervision of all the construction activities including earthworks, bituminous works, concrete works as well as landscaping activities that are being undertaken on the project road.

• Providing technical assistance to the staff when it was required.

• Maintaining the quality assurance standards for the road project by ensuring regular laboratory tests are undertaken and at the various levels of road construction as well as for the concrete works.

• Addressing any social, safety and environmental issues arising from the works being executed at the site and coming up with workable solutions.

• Preparing Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Progress Reports as well as the Project Briefs for the visitors to the site that are submitted to the Employer according to the time schedule specified in the Specifications.

• Assisting to design site drawings, developing and executing the construction project.

• Supervision of all the construction activities including earthworks, bituminous works and concrete works that were being undertaken on the project road.

• Maintaining the quality assurance standards for the road project by ensuring regular laboratory tests were undertaken and at the various levels of road construction as well as for the concrete works.

• Determining budget, schedule, manpower, material and equipment needed in executing the works on the project road.

• Preparing, checking and approving CAD drawings according to the specifications submitted by the Contractor for the execution of the same at the site.

• Providing technical assistance to field staff when it was required.

• Analyzing construction problems and recommending corrective actions.

• Preparing Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Progress Reports as well as the Project Completion Report of the project that was submitted to the Project Financier as well as the Client. • Site supervision of earthworks, bituminous works and concrete works carried out by the Contractor at the site.

• Maintained quality assurance standards for the Road Project by ensuring regular laboratory tests of the earthwork layers, bituminous and concrete works.

• Checked and approved the CAD Plan and Working Drawings submitted by the Contractor before the execution of the same at the site.
