Supervised & expertly scheduled team of over 75 staff members. Earned “ETS Recognition of Excellence” certificate for scoring within the top 10% of Praxis II test takers in the history of the examination.
Both establishments that gave me the opportunity to lead their marketing charges saw at least a 117% increase in revenue (percentages reached over 300 in some instances) — all by utilizing creativity, not excess amounts of capital. In fact, one of the organizations gave me an exactly $0 budget with which to work. If you have a brand with little to no identity or excitement surrounding it — my track record speaks for itself.

I have written for numerous sports, sports betting, and sports entertainment-related websites. All of my pieces were designed to be web content, with one exception. Fightful Magazine (www.fightful.com, the leading pro wrestling and MMA media-related website on the internet) commissioned me to design a piece on the niche phenomenon of retro pro wrestling action figure customization.
Personal projects of late have been written beneath the pseudonym R.D. Levisay and have been widely- acclaimed (within niche circles). Behavioral Health Professional, 03/2017 to 06/2018 Appoquinimink School District – Odessa, DE
Success in this position depended upon my capability to augment the children with behavioral disorders' understanding of emotional self-regulation — and I excelled beyond the expectations of every involved party.
My greatest success story is my lobbying for the reinstatement of a misunderstood student from the depths of expulsion, rehabilitating them one-on-one for just two weeks, and returning them to their classroom to enjoy comfortable social acclimation and academic success. Unfortunately, following three consecutive back surgeries, I was forced to abandon my plans to finish my Master of Education degree in Elementary Education, as well as my goal of advancing this particular career, believing in and working with at-risk youth. Facilitated and conducted individual therapy sessions to address PTSD and anger management. Administered personality assessments, behavioral assessments and assessments of intellectual functioning.
Participated in interdisciplinary staff meetings to implement research-based changes and assess treatment plans.
Counseled clients individually to provide strategies for becoming aware of strengths and adjusting socially to environments.
Assisted clients by helping develop skills and behaviors necessary to modify their level of success and achievement in a classroom setting.
Worked intensively with entire “IEP” (Individualized Education Plan) team to devise appropriate strategy to achieve desired behaviors and reach grade-level appropriate educational benchmarks. Observed and monitored client behavior and responses to treatment. Worked collaboratively with other mental health professionals to provide consistent care and minimize diversion.
Displayed sensitivity to cultural and linguistic needs of clients and families served. Developed goal-oriented psychoeducational and activity therapy groups to improve clients' level of functioning.
Completed one-on-one counseling with broad range of clients suffering from mental and behavioral health disorders and issues.
Applied array of different methodologies to assist patients with therapy. Assistant General Manager, 04/2014 to 05/2017
Odessa National – Townsend, DE
The general objective was to provide an example of what cordial, professional, and exceptional bartending/service looked like and to grow sales and create higher profit margins through grassroots marketing techniques.
After just a few months of steering the ship, each day of the week's sales increased versus the year prior by an average of 117%.
I pulled this off with a marketing budget of $0 (i.e., solely via social media.) Resolved problems promptly to elevate customer approval. Handled cash accurately and prepared deposits.
Motivated, trained and disciplined employees to maximize performance. Managed team schedule with eye for coverage needs and individual strengths. Maintained secure cash drawers, promptly resolving discrepancies in daily totals. Enforced quality assurance protocols to deliver ideal customer experiences. Cultivated performance-based culture based on individual accountability, goal attainment and team achievement.
Maintained well-controlled business inventory with minimal losses by enforcing solid monitoring and management structures.
Built customer loyalty by devising promotions and products according to customer needs and budget. Delivered full-scale business strategies resulting in increased customer satisfaction and operational enhancement.
Performed pricing and estimates based on customer needs and requirements. Boosted yearly profits through process optimization and improved training. Bar and Marketing Manager, 06/2004 to 04/2014
Bethany Blues – Lewes, DE
I worked my way up the ladder at Bethany Blues during summers home from college and during my first enrollment in graduate school. After bussing tables and food running during my first summer, I served tables until I was old enough to bartend. Shortly after achieving my bachelor's degree, I was promoted to floor manager and excelled at that position so much that by the end of the same season, I was again promoted to Bar Manager (and de facto Marketing Manager). My duties included most of those required of a general manager at any other multi-million-dollar restaurant and bar.
The “Bar Manager” role was created by the partnership specifically for me and my expansive, unique skill set, as the “General Manager” of the establishment was also the “managing partner” of the restaurant and bar group, so that title was not available. Due to the precedent I set, the bar manager role became synonymous with being “The Face of the
[Bethany Blues] brand.” My implementations and creative concepts increased mean EOD sales versus the exact dates of the years before my promotion by 150-300%. I cultivated the most hard-working, proud staff in town so that the best customer service experience possible was a given.
My cardinal rules were to enjoy what you do and make sure your customer base leaves feeling satisfied, appreciated, and most of all, special.
Boosted brand awareness and generated leads while managing internal and external marketing campaigns and programs.
Created company brand messaging, collateral materials, customer events, promotional strategies and product commercialization.
Managed workflow between staff, coordinating documents, planning and creative material distribution. Utilized market trends and target audience statistics to effectively and appropriately market products. Innovated many, and capitalized on existing, industry and marketplace trends to strategize marketing solutions and enhance business operations.
Coordinated meetings between project members and clients to develop ideas, discuss progress and set goals.
Assisted with development of event strategies and tactical plans to promote accomplishment of marketing goals.
Transformed corporate website and social media platforms to better engage customers and promote sales.
Implemented creative partnership building, event sponsorship, activation platforms and consumer experience design.
Increased consumer leads through development of targeted advertisements and dealer direct response program.
Kept organized tracking documents detailing assignments, in-progress work and completed project milestones.
Briefed partnership and other members of the management team on monthly projections, product launches and other marketing plans.
Developed network of related professionals to open up business opportunities. Created a loyalty program through use of “VIP Cards” and the requirement of customers to keep track of our social media and email marketing campaigns. A valid email address was all required of our guests to obtain a card, be “on the inside”, “part of the crew”, and eligible to receive “the hook up” (typically a modestly discounted check or free cost-efficient appetizer) or “VIP treatment”. Organized contacts and orchestrated innovative marketing campaigns to boost awareness, engagement and sales.
Developed consumer-tailored print marketing materials for targeted distribution. Assessed marketing copy, art comps and final designs and compared with established specifications. Cultivated and deepened productive client relationships to enhance collaboration and maintain responsiveness to changing strategies.
Set up, completed and tracked customer surveys for local, regional and national campaigns. Implemented successful marketing and promotional strategies worth over $6,000,000 in yearly revenue. Created countless marketing campaigns, which resulted in 150-300% increase in revenue. Orchestrated and implemented re-branding of customer service department to improve sales and maximize effectiveness.

EDUCATION
Full Sail University - Winter Park, FL
Completed professional development in screenwriting, prose, video game writing, general storytelling, and other creative writing-related fields.
Master of Education: Elementary Studies, 2011
Wilmington University - New Castle, DE
I earned 45/53 credits toward this degree. When the opportunity to finish degree presented itself, due to three lower back surgeries in three successive years, I was no longer physically capable of adequately performing the duties required of the profession.
Bachelor of Science: Interdisciplinary Studies, 2008 Wilmington University - New Castle, DE
Dean's List Fall 2007, Spring 2008
Wilmington University did not have a History-related undergraduate degree program. In order to graduate somewhat close to “on schedule,” I was forced to adopt the Interdisciplinary Studies major. Bachelor Of Arts: European History, 2007
University of Delaware - Newark, DE
Member of Pi Kappa Alpha (PiKA)
Dean's List Spring 2005, Fall 2005, Spring 2006
During the winter of 2007, familial issues required my presence at home, two hours away from campus. Considering that online courses were in their infancy, the credits I needed to graduate were not attainable via long-distance learning. I transferred to Wilmington University, because it had a satellite campus within daily driving distance of my new family home. Delaware Coast Gulf Aid's “Bands in the Sand”: amidst the disastrous Deepwater Horizon (BP) oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, a few of my colleagues and I decided to do something to help. In July of 2010, I named, helped plan & assisted in organizing a fundraising concert and festival on the beach. The proceeds from the event sent almost $100,000 to assist Louisiana's Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program, which used the money to exercise damage control over the environmental disaster of unprecedented proportions.
[New Jersey] Coast Aid: see above; exceptions include the event being held indoors and the amount of money raised equaling over $125,000.
Mentorship: I mentor a 20-year-old student with severe cerebral palsy in all realms of his life. Since we began working together, the accomplishment in which I take the most pride is his vastly enhanced quality of mental health. I have led him through his cessation of a personal addiction, increased his ability to read social cues and more effectively monitor his previously socially-crippling impulsivity, enhanced his comprehension and execution of authoring excellent, reader-friendly web content, and have been cited as his most valuable resource in the overwhelming improvement of his grades in college.
