PROJECT ASSOCIATE

My responsibilities included conducting research and analysis of current medical literature, federal and state laws and regulations, industry best practices and national trends to assist in the development of clinical guidelines and associated performance measures with the goal of improving the provision of care and health outcomes of MassHealth members. Also conducting periodic reviews of clinical quality performance measures, including providing data analyses and summary reports of findings, as well as performing environmental scans to determine current clinical practices among state Medicaid agencies, the Federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and commercial payers to support policy decisions that are up-to-date and consistent with national trends.

PROJECT COORDINATOR

As the Project Coordinator for several large projects, my responsibilities have included subject specific literature searches, the research and analysis of other states Medicaid programs, commercial insurance plans and federal programs in order to complete environmental scan documents as well as research and analysis in preparation for the writing of Guidelines for Medical Necessity Determination. Other duties include preparation of the Project Status Reports for two legislatively mandated projects; and project management for the implementation of the APAS (Automated Prior Authorization System).
