Hello! I just wanted to give a fairly quick, yet necessary explanation as to why there are gaps and inconsistencies in my resume and employment history. Many years ago my husband was killed, leaving me with a 14 month old child to raise. I chose to stay home with him for as long as I could. However, with that said, I did attend Kaplan College during my time off, as well as worked at a few different jobs to keep my feet a bit wet for when I was free, and able to work without personal issues holding me back. My son is grown now, and I am very excited to begin a new carreer! Thank you.

Work Experience

Front desk assistant

Nolte Eye Care - Indianapolis, IN

March 2022 to Present

I worked at the front window, and I greeted patients as they came into our office. I checked patients in, gave correct forms that needed filled out, then input any new information into the computer. I ran all major medical insurances prior to the patient's appointments. I answered phones, scheduled or rescheduled appointments (using their computer system). I took copays or monies for any balances due. I checked patients out of the office. I occasionally faxed and filed new patient paperwork. Cashier

Additional Information

First, I wanted to start off by letting you know that I have had previous first aid, CPR, and CPI training, however all are now expired.

Secondly, I started at Nolte Eye Care as a part time employee. Unfortunately, due to how far I was driving each day I decided it would be best to find another job closer. To my surprise, Dr. Nolte wanted me to at least continue working there on an as needed basis. So, technically I am still employed at Nolte Eye Care, however I am not needed to fill in very often at all. Hence...the job search.
