Employment and Responsibility History
Feb 2022 to present, US Farathane Westland, Plant Quality Engineer. Responsibilities: Complete MSA Gage R&R studies and complete process using Minitab. Review and ensure part numbers for GM C121 have aligning APQP documentation (Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan and Work Instructions), also ensure gage instructions (@40) are complete and legible. Complete LPA from EASE Auditor. Launch U725 (Bronco Warthog) various part numbers as per MAP up and line fills, Work with GM GQTS system to review and answer GM SPPS’ corrective action activity for Labelling, and other plastic defects as required using 5 Why method.
July 2019 to January 2020, JAC products, Plant Quality Engineer (Contract). Responsibilities: Review and approve new gage designs. Write Gage instructions and complete MSA Gage R&R studies using Minitab. Review APQP documents (Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan and Work Instructions) to ensure they align. Procure measurement tools for newer work cells. Answer customer complaints with corrective actions (8D, 5Why, 7D) on customer portals. Inform suppliers of Defective Material and request sorting purchase orders and RGA’s for suspect bad products. Accomplish LPA’s.
April 2018 to May 2019, Martinrea Jonesville, Quality Engineer. Responsibilities: Review and approve new gage designs. Complete MSA Gage R&R studies and complete process using Minitab. Review APQP documents (Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan and Work Instructions) to ensure they align. Ensure new gage part numbers for GM T1XX have gage instructions (@180). Complete LPA from iAuditor. Approve supplier PPAP’s, Launch T1X-CSP, Submit IA PPAP for low volume special GM truck (T1XX). Direct corrective action activity for High Speed Nut Cells. Work with GM GQTS system to answer PRR using 5 Why method. Received training and certificate for BSI IATF 16949 Lead Auditor.
March 2015 to Jan 2018, Kirchhoff-Automotive Tecumseh, Supplier Quality Engineer. Responsibilities: Ensure delivered parts and components are of acceptable quality and on-time. If issues arise, investigate suspect material, write Defective Material Notices, coordinate with suppliers to sort, rework replace or scrap suspect material and to proceed with the managing and cost recovery for 2nd and 3rd party activities. Fill out supplier scorecards and forward to Corporate Supplier Quality. Monitor and post supplier performance. Visit key suppliers (E-coaters and Fasteners) annually in order to improve performance. Take part in Internal and Layered Process Audits. Arrange and deliver gages to outsourcing stamping houses. Visit outsourced stamping houses and do 1st piece approvals on the outsourced stampings. Participate in APQP launch meetings to inform on status of 3 party suppliers.

Accomplished MSA on various gages at the facility. Repaired gages and measured parts on CMM (PC-DMIS) & Optical Comparator. Accomplish gage calibrations on hand measurement instruments and update status in ProGage software. Created IMDS certifications for new parts/new material. Interfaced with customers regarding customer complaints and other issues.
May 2011 to April 2012, Metaldyne Litchfield, Plant Quality Engineer. Responsibilities: Assisted in creating Process Flow Chart, PFMEA, Control Plan and Work Instructions in PLEX system for Engine Dampers. Capability studies on new parts was done on Minitab. Completed PPAP’s for the Automotive, Commercial Vehicle and Military industries. Completed MSA’s on various gages at the facility. Repaired gages and measured parts on CMM (PC-DMIS software) and Optical Comparator. Championed 8D corrective action activity for automotive and commercial vehicle customers in the PLEX system.
August 2010 to April 2011, Faurecia Interiors Systems North America, Program Quality Leader, Interiors. Responsibilities: Worked with a team to create Process Flow Chart, PFMEA, Control Plan and Work Instructions and save the documents in ePPAP. Did Gap/Flush measurement analysis for Instrument Panels, Center Consoles and Door line trim. Overall gap/flush capabilities were done using Minitab. Assembly gage instructions written and Gage R&R’s accomplished through Minitab.
March 2008 to May 2009, Eberspaecher North America, Advanced Quality Engineer for Commercial Vehicle, Volvo. Responsibilities: I have been involved in APQP at the beginning of the program. After DFMEA and control plan reviews, design reviews, gage and fixture reviews, tool tryouts and R @ R’s accomplished at the Brighton Mi. plant. Internal components measured capabilities were analyzed using Minitab. Work station work instructions were written to support assembly line operators. Participated in Warranty investigations regarding defective/failed components.
January, 2004 to March 2008, Faurecia Exhaust North America, Senior Quality Engineer, Program Quality Leader.
Responsibilities: Involved in APQP with new programs. After prototype, DFMEA and control plan reviews, design reviews, gage and fixture procurement, tool tryouts and R @ R’s accomplished, these activities were turned over to the plants. Afterwards, the focus was to ensure the plants were industrializing the gages, fixtures and machines per Faurecia’s FES core procedures. FES Verification was through audits resulting in corrective actions and feedback to the plants and management. Weld studies were accomplished through weld sectioning and weld nugget measurements and pull testing. Participated in Warranty investigations and analysis regarding defective/failed components.
