· Supported new product development and purchasing efforts within the headquarters Purchasing Department.

1988-1990 U.S. PEACE CORPS VOLUNTEER, Energy Conservation Program, West Africa.
· Promoted awareness of the country’s diminishing wood-fuel resources by conducting workshops and teaching energy conserving techniques to local villagers of the Republic of Niger in West Africa.
· Conducted follow-up visits to villages to evaluate and document the effect and success of the workshops.
· Sought cooperation and support of host country civic leaders to further purposes of Peace Corps objectives.
· Lived in adverse conditions, without electricity, plumbing, or running water and learned the local language (Hausa) as well as speaking French.
