CONSULTANT UROLOGY RESPONSIBILTIES:

I have worked as a Consultant Urology at multiple tertiary care hospitals especially Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplant (SIUT). This is a very busy teaching hospital; College of Physicians and Surgeon Pakistan, Royal College of surgeons UK and Ireland recognize its postgraduate training for their postgraduate examination. SIUT is one of the largest tertiary care centers in Karachi & largest Dialysis & Transplant Centre of South East Asia. This hospital serves a very large population, resulting in a high patient turnover and a wide spectrum of diseases.

I am responsible for supervision and training of registrar, senior medical officer, resident medical officer and nursing staff. My commitment involves day to day care of the patients admitted through outpatient clinic or emergency department, regularly perform & teach bedside therapeutic and diagnostic procedure required for patients management concerned with Urology. I do regularly go to Operation Theater to performed different Urological surgeries independently (like TURP, PYELOLITHOTOMY, PYELOPLASTY, AVF etc). I am involved in bedside teaching for my junior colleagues as well as took regular classes especially to prepare them for clinical postgraduate examination (i.e. FCPS(UROLOGY) and MRCS).
