SUMMARY:

Over all 10+ years of working experience as a Welding Inspector in the field of Inspection and NDT, handling various projects for Oil & Gas refinery, Boiler, and structure carrying out material receiving inspection with raw materials in plate, Pipe, Columns and angle supports. Demonstrated skills in inspection activities. Ensuring the compliance to quality standards and maintaining all quality related inspection reports. In Accordance with codes & standards with Project specification.

PROFESSIONAL BRIEF:

Preparing detailed work schedule for project planning and micro planning.

Conducting internal quality audits and coordinate with management representative in ISO 9001 documentations.

Generating weld maps, weld summary, inspection test plan, and mechanical completion punch list. Conducting surveillance check of welders and welding consumables. Prepare reports/ as-built drawings & pipe book and work in close coordination with client and third party surveyors.

Review NDE procedure, PMI, Parent metal & weld joint identification system.

Review of electrode issuance control procedure.

Review of Heat Treatment procedure. Fabrication shop qualification and approval.

Welding consumable verification, daily visual inspection of storage & handling Welding equipment calibration verification electrode baking oven, portable oven & inspection instruments.

PMI of low alloy steel, duplex stainless steel, Cooper, Nickel Materials.

Pre-welding and weld joint fit-up inspection, in- process welding inspection.

Post welding visual inspection and weld repair verification.

Witness of Hardness testing and post welding heat treatment.

Production weld and welder repair rate assessment (by joint wise and by linear wise).

Final inspection of completed pipe spools and structural components.

Final inspection for release. Percentage coverage of NDE as per applicable standard (by line wise, Drawing wise and welder wise)

Verify that the welding equipment to be used for the work is appropriate for the use with the welding procedure and has the capability to meet the applicable requirements of the welding procedure.

During welding, performing In-process inspection welding such as preheat & inter-pass temperature & proper cleaning between the weld beads.

Conduct visual inspections of welds & repairs of welds in accordance with company procedures & international codes of practice.

Tool box talk with sub-contractors to ensure quality maintenance.

Releasing the weld joint for other NDT test after the successful completion of visual inspection.

Witnessing UT,PT,MPI inspection on the final welds & joint bevel

preparations. Adept at evaluating PWHT charts.

Knowledge of safety & precaution procedure related to welding activities

Customer specification & International standard to provide technical

guidance for welding performing fit-up inspection for proper root gap,

groove angle, root face & checking the preheat temperature.

Monitor & carry out day by day fabrication & inspection activities such

as marking, cutting, edge preparation, fit-up, welding & assembly work.
