Diabetic teaching the importance of keeping up with required time to receive their insulin, to keep feet clean and dry and to watch their sugar free drinks and some foods.
Prepare inmates to see the provider for their illness if their illness is beyond the scope of duty as a nurse.
Administer vaccines and injections of narcotics and stock medications.

Perform EKGs, check ketones and if other issues pertaining to diabetics, dressing changes, etc.
Emergent examination of inmates after a quarrel/discoid or emergency care for other inmates as it arises.
