RESPONSIBILITIES
Respiratory care man oeuvres, but not restricted to controlled oxygen therapy. Humidification and administration of aerosols such as bronchodilators, mucolytics, microkinetic and steroids using small volume nebulizers, ultrasonic nebulizers.
Chest physiotherapy (CPT), Bronchial hygiene therapy, Clearance of pulmonary secretions and Postural drainage.
Assistance in Breathing Exercises and Incentive Spirometry. Performance and interpretation of pulmonary function tests (PFT). Arterial blood gas (ABG) report & checking ventilator settings.
Institution of Noninvasive Ventilation (NIV) using well-fitting nasal and full-face masks in COPD and Chest Trauma Patients. Initiation, maintenance and weaning off ventilatory support. Along-with Cardiac and Respiratory monitoring.
