Objective: Account Sales Manager

In each of my last three positions, I substantially increased the number of active advertisers

by 10-15% and increased average dollar volume by $75,000 per year through “conquest selling”

(business from competing publications), trade show representation and relationship building and

maintenance skills.

2013 to present:

I’ve worked several short term contracts with various publishers including EPG Media as an advertising

account manager. Additionally, I drive part-time for Uber.

Account Manager--Source Interlink (Motorcycle Group)

Responsible for approximately $650,000 in annual revenue across nine titles including Motorcyclist, Sport Rider

and Dirt Rider magazines. Major accounts included Two Bros., DAIDO and Scorpion Sports. Maintained all

aspects of account management including new business sales, contract/rate negotiation and trade show

representation. (2011-2013)

Account Manager-- JOBS magazine (a Los Angeles Times publication). Responsible for

advertising sales directed to Human Resources Managers in a variety of industries including police authority, transportation, healthcare market segments plus trade and technical schools for this bi-weekly

employee/student recruitment magazine.

Accomplishment: Increased monthly sales from $9000 to over $50,000 monthly. (2000-2011)

Additional experience includes B2B and B2C print/digital advertising sales within the sporting goods, transportation (trucking) and construction equipment dealer industries as well as retail, real estate and auto dealer advertising sales categories for the San Diego Union Tribune. All positions called for attention to detail, adherence to multiple deadlines, credit problem solutions, copy writing skills and general account maintenance.
