CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:
Jul. 2016 - to – date Currently, I have been working as visiting Consultant Physician and Diabetologist in Tahira Lateef polyclinic, Lahore Polyclinic, Al-Hamd Medical Complex with
Emergency & in-patient care in some of the set-ups; Nov 2019 – June 2021 I worked as SMO & Associate HOD of Emergency Department & Internal Medicine in INDUS HOSPITAL;
My responsibilities included managing Emergency, OPD and in - patients. I was involved in training my Junior colleagues & Nursing staff and carrying out other
miscellaneous administrative tasks delegated to me. I also contributed in local SOPs for the hospital.
Feb 2018 - June 2019 In Pakistan Airforce Hospital (PAFH), Lahore, I delivered my responsibilities in Emergency, OPD and in- patients as Civilian Doctor along with other Classified
Specialists. I was involved in their military Contingency plans occasionally during my night shifts.
Jan 2015 to Jun. 2016 Medical Specialist / SMR in Badar General Hosp. Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Here I carried out my duties in various medical disciplines independently, including OPDs and Emergency; patients were admitted in
ICU/CCU & in-patient Wards under my care and were
followed up by me. I assisted in organizing CMEs & hospital staff development programs.
Mar 2005 to Dec 2015 Medical Specialist / SMR in Yanbu General Hosp. Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Here I carried out my duties in various medical disciplines independently, including ICU/ CCU care.
Aug 2003 to Mar 2005 Medical Specialist / SMR in Qateef Central Hospital, Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The hospital is a tertiary care setting with 600 bedded facilities. Here my duties were not only to see patients but also to train junior residents and interns; arranging for other academic activities like CME, Morning reports, Conferences etc. were also part of my responsibilities.
Aug 2000 to Aug 2003 Medical Specialist / SMR in Jubail General Hospital, Jubail, Saudi Arabia; as. I was exposed to different disciplines of medicine like cardiology, gastroenterology
(equipped with the endoscopic facilities), nephrology with state-of-the-art dialysis unit and neurology (with facilities of EMG and EEG) units.
Jan 2000 to July 2000 I was deputed to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Lahore by Jinnah Hospital as Registrar and FCPS-II Trainee under supervision of General Badshah Khan. I delivered my services in A&ED, OPD and In-patient care along with other consultants..
Mar 1997 to July 2000 Working in Jinnah Hospital, Lahore as Additional Registrar and Trainee FCPS-II student. The hospital is 1200 bedded equipped with state – of – the - art
facilities. I worked under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Khalil-ur-Rahman, Principal of Allama Iqbal Medical College (AIMC) and Head of Department of Medicine. Mar 1996 to Feb 1997 Resident Medical Officer in Omar Hospital, 50 bedded private hospital with all necessary in patients,
outpatients, emergency and CCU/ICU facilities.
Sep 1995 to Feb 1996 Resident Cardiology in Hameed Lateef Hospital CCU under supervision of cardiologist Prof. Ashfaque A. Khan MD (USA). It is a 50 bedded hospital with added facilities of infertility clinic and IVF.
Aug 1994 to Aug.1995 Trainee Registrar FCPS-II student in Sheikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute affiliated with Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore a 360 bedded tertiary care
hospital where I got the opportunity to work in CCU, Nephrology, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Oncology, Pulmonology, Endocrinology and
Gastroenterology Departments.
Aug 1993 to Feb 1994 Six months of essential internship at Medical Unit-I, Services Hospital, Lahore, a 1200 bedded teaching
hospital consisting of six medical units. I worked as House Physician under the supervision of Prof. Khalil-ur- Rahman, Dean and Head of Department of Medicine.
Feb 1993 to Aug 1993 Six months of essential internship at Surgical Unit-I, Services Hospital, Lahore, a 1200 bedded teaching
hospital consisting of five surgical units. I worked as House Surgeon under the supervision of Prof. S.J.H. Jaffri Dean and Head of Department of Surgery.
