A detail-oriented and exceptionally skilled Metallurgical Sampler with 4+ years of experience in the Mining environment within the Metallurgy division dealing with inventory management, data entry, customer relations, and production. Having had studied courses in Chemical Engineering that have equipped me for my current role and majorly contributed to my skills in creating processes, collaborating and problem solving. Responsibilities include;

Metallurgy testing and Quality analysis.

- Acquiring various samples from different sample points on the metallurgical plant.

- Applying various methodologies as per ISO 6153:1989 to acquire samples of MetCon, tailings and production feed of the Chrome ore.

- Dispatching testing materials or sampled commodities to the testing lab to acquire analysis, in order to ensure that commodities are on-specification.

- Administration and paperwork for samples to be easily identified by lab.

- Segmenting and organising tested materials into categories of; o Market ready products

o Products that would require further refining

o Low market value products

- Managing all metallurgical processes, preparing charts and graphs of the dispatch pad for the identification of available tested materials and their average chemical components respectively.

- Coordinating with staff members to resolve all technical problems on the metallurgical plant.

- Complying with all environmental safety requirements and standard operating procedures.

Inventory Management.

- Managing inventory of about 5000 tons, managing stockpiling on the loading pad and storing of the material on a daily basis.

- Overseeing and Supervising operators per shift.

Supply Chain/Logistics.

- Ensuring a healthy relationship with client (Logistics) by ensuring that the right amount of product is dispatched, dispatching on average 50 trucks with an average of 52 tons per load.

- Liaising with dispatch department to ensure that the right commodities are dispatched at correct tonnages.

- Constantly liaising with logistics managers, coordinators and practitioners.

- Approving purchases based on the quality of the material available on the dispatch pad.

Operations and Process management.

- Compiling daily shift reports for two plants per shift, to track how many tons of the commodity being processed was produced, recording downtimes, reasons for the downtimes, how the breakdowns were resolved and recommending how to avoid downtimes in future.

- Ensuring that company isn’t losing any cost through spillages, mishandled inventory or low quality product – recovering hundreds of tons on a monthly basis.

- Ensuring that approved purchases are of high quality through making adjustments in the production process and overseeing said process.

- Preparing plans for purchasable materials.

- Following and enforcing the company’s standard operating procedures.

- Work with a team of 4 members to complete duties as needed. Complimented by Specialist in September 2020 for consistently achieving required analysis for product and increasing productivity.
