The grant was for an aquaponic garden where we will start with just growing lettuce for the students to try, then as the system grows, they will get larger fish to harvest as well. Sam Houston being a title 1 school, there are many homeless students. We wanted to show them how they can grow their own food, as well as help the students as much as we could while they attend school
