Worked with major ocean carriers, Freight forwarders, NVOCC, negotiated and composed service contract agreements with shippers and NVOCC’s; updated and maintained ocean carriers freight tariffs; quoted freight rates to customers for various types of equipment including containers, flat racks, reefers. I provided cargo reports to the ships’ captains for their vessel stowage planning; obtained booking approval for dangerous goods from the ports-of-call involved in a voyage; assured that the commodities exported complied with federal regulations; issued, rated, and released ocean bills of lading; submitted vessel information to U.S. Customs for vessel clearance; and prepared daily reports of vessel allocations vs. actual cargo booked; two years of experience with a project carrier, representing two major break-bulk carriers; duties varied, including sales, pricing, and customer service.

Lead Screener Supervisor October 2015 - Current
The state requires that school aged children have their eyes & hearing checked, a pre-diabetes screening and spinal screening for scoliosis. Pine Woods Screening offers these services along with testing for dyslexia, color blindness and drug testing for teachers. As a screener, I preformed these services daily.

Worked on two projects for large corporations, Alcoa and Exxon Mobil. Both companies had occasional foreign to foreign shipments, but the majority was ocean from the U.S. to the foreign port. Some air shipments were involved. Created KPI’s and SAPs for new projects, created Maintained a daily report for Exxon Mobil of current activities and a monthly report for Alcoa. I made the bookings with the carrier, filed the SED, issued the B/Instructions’ and any federal regulated documents that may be needed to accompany the shipment.
