Summary of Qualifications:

Having over 20 years of experience I have mastered design, engineering and management. My discipline is a senior piping designer, certified in stress analysis, load studies, bbls for weight, and other types of calculations, as well as having other certifications in different areas. Also experienced in civil/structural, mechanical, and electrical design and various types of equipment design. The majority of my experience includes mostly on-shore, but have done off-shore design as well, petrol-chemical production, pipeline work, compressor stations, and assorted types of plant work. Proficient in AutoCAD 14-2018, CAD Worxs 2000-18, CAD Worxs plant review 2018, Bentley Auto PLANT Design, Plant 3D, Navisworks, PDS, PDMS, Flex-CAD, Microsoft Office, Skype, Oracle, Outlook express and other types of common software.

1/2018-12/2018- Middough One, Clear Lake, Tx

Piping Designer

At Middough my job duties were basically to complete my own small projects. The projects were demolition and re-design on various types of piping systems for an older Marathon petrochemical facility in Texas City. I was doing refurbish work on an older plant that was out dated not up to OSHA requirements. My job duties consisted of going to the facility taking pictures and measurements, as-built drawings, tagging tie points and valves or equipment that were to be refurbished or replaced and generate new design field sketches. Then come back to the office and generate demolition drawings, new drawings and update existing P&ID’s, tie point lists, line list and detailed project report. The software used was AoutCad 2018 and CAD Worxs 2018. This was short term assignment due to work overflow.

1/2015-10/2018

During this time, I was on medical leave to take care of my family. I did work as a subcontractor for my father. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and during her recovery my father was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. My father was a civil/structural designer for over thirty years. While he was out, I was able to help him with subcontract work. I worked as a civil/structural designer. I helped him with platform detail drawings, plans and section and checking.

Sr. Lead Piping Designer

At Holloman Engineering my position was a lead piping designer. I managed several different types of projects. My position was to manage a group of designers and checkers. including working in the field to over-see the progress and fabrication. I was a liaison with the client and construction company and also managed projects that were expansions on existing facilities. These projects included drawings P&ID's, generating demo packages, new tie-ins, inspection of good pipe/equipment from bad pipe, experienced in inspections of welds new and old, completed estimations for new projects, including equipment arrangement per process, client specifications, and work scope requirements as well as material take-off. Responsible for completing everything from the front-end work to the completion of a project. The software being utilized in this position is Auto CAD 2012 with CADworx 2011 and CADworx design review/viewer 2011.

9/2007 – 6/2008 S&B Engineers & Constructors, Houston, TX

My job requirements at S&B consisted of drawing P&ID's, detail design work on various piping systems and piping studies using Bentley Auto PLANT. Worked on a catalysts plant for Shell Oil and was responsible for the design and completion of the piping, equipment and Iso’s for multiple areas.

5/2006 – 10/2007 CB&I, Houston, TX

At CB&I my job requirements consisted of drawing P&ID's, piping plans, elevations and Iso’s using AutoCAD 2004, Flex Cad 2d. Also completed a PDS class, able to build equipment, make corrections to models and take 2D drawings and convert them into 3D drawings. As Job coordinator on a project was responsible for keeping track of the drawing status to meet the clients schedule and distributing work throughout the design group.

10/2005 – 5/2006 PPI Technologies, Houston, TX

Sr. Lead Piping Designer

As a lead piping designer at PPI my duties and requirements were to oversee a group of designers and checker to design, produce, check piping drawings as well as consulting with the client. The projects consisted of several ethanol plants on and off shore. Utilizing AutoCAD 2006 and CADWorx 3-D modeling I designed and checked models, plans, sections, elevations and isometric drawings.

4/2004 – 10/2005 J. W. Williams, Waller, TX

Project manager / Piping Designer

At J.W. Williams my job consisted of managing the design group and production of skid mounted equipment packages and equipment. I managed their used equipment department. Evaluate used equipment and complete an analysis to determine if the equipment was worth purchasing for refurbishing and for resell.
