Carry out neonatal resuscitation procedures.
Knowledge of emergency drugs, dosage, calculations and proper administrations.
Understand of blood gas values.
Working knowledge of specialized equipments common to NICU like cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, isolletes, phototherapy devices, IV infusions.
Care of neonates with central lines, with chest tube and on ventilators.
Provide pre and post care for neonates with duodenal atresia,TEF/intestinal obstructions and tracheotomy care.
Prepare and assist during intubation, central line insertion (UAC/UVC), lumbar puncture, insertion of chest drain.
Attends high risk deliveries/ caesarian section (assess, resuscitates, transfer to nursery/NICU.
Draws arterial blood gases and laboratory samples, insert intravenous lines, heel prick blood sampling.
