Objective: I am seeking a part-time job working from home. If needed, I would like to use the skills described below and learn new abilities. My ideal working hours are Mon-Sat, 2:00pm - 4:30pm Hawaii time.
Throughout the different occupations I have held over the years, two of my personal qualities have never changed to this day. In fact, these traits have only gotten stronger.
For one, I am a people person. I place a strong value on my connections with people. This natural gift that life has given me has helped me in my various occupations. It has also allowed me to stand in the spotlight in various occupational and social situations. As a result, people value my opinion, thoughts, and suggestions.
The second quality is that I have always been a self-starter. I am incredibly self- motivated. All my occupations have been successful, profitable, and fulfilling because I have put my creativity and initiative to work. As a hypnotherapist, I attracted various clients to my practice. I helped them lose weight, overcome their fears, sleep better, and overcome issues with intimacy. Due to of my strong ability to connect with people, my clients trusted me and I was successfully able to bring about the changes they desired in their lives.
Video Store Owner (2 stores): 1981 - 1994 Philadelphia & Narberth, PA I have always loved movies! This passion inspired me to open my first video store when there were only three in the city! It was so successful and popular that people volunteered to work for free! In addition, I had one of the first video recorders in the city. My store was very successful and enabled me to open a second video store in the suburbs of Philadelphia. I sold that store at the peak Pg. 2
of the market! The reason for my success in this business goes back to my connection and good communication skills with my workers, customers, and video suppliers.
Massage Therapist: 1994 - 2004
This business was natural to me. My clients loved to talk to me and most of them opened up to me as if I was a therapist. I loved giving massages for that reason! The success of this enterprise was due to the regularity with which my clients sought me out. I had sophisticated and affluent clients, which was rewarding, both personally and financially. Because of our connection, many of my clients became lifetime friends.
Model & Extra in Movies/TV Shows: 2004 - 2007
I guess they thought I was handsome enough to be a model. I really enjoyed this experience, which took me to various locations throughout the US. I was an extra in a movie called Hereafter, directed by Clint Eastwood. I really admired his iconic walk! I was on the beach in Kaanapali, Hawaii in this film and you can distinctly see me in the background. I was also an extra in the season finale of Modern Family, and I interacted with the cast at the Four Seasons Hotel, including Sofia Vergara!
Talk Show Host: 2007 - 2019
I always admired Johnny Carson, David Letterman, Merv Griffin, and other talk show hosts. So much so that I was inspired to create my own talk show called Life on Maui. I taught myself the necessary technical skills and teamed up with someone with complementary abilities. I was good at being the interviewer and host, while my partner was comfortable behind the scenes in the studio. I interviewed some outstanding guests, including a presidential candidate and many other wonderful people! I loved hearing the details of their lives. For instance, I spoke with David Welch, who directed The Peaceful Warrior and Nick Nolte, who was on the set of some of my favorite movies, including Being There and Harold and Maude.
Being a television host requires: great communication skills, confidence, and a strong resonance with people. I embody those qualities and absolutely loved being a talk show host.
