My Position with MGA Healthcare was a Medical Assistant that would work any
contract Job that I was qualified for, determined after interview with the company
looking for an MA. I worked for UCSF for a temp to hire and a 4 month contract job.
My responsibilities as an MA would be doing back office and float for the Mount Zion
Cancer Center and Anal Displatia Center. It was basic patient rooming, vitals, patient
assessment. For the Anchor Clinic (Anal Displatia) I helped one of the physicians there

I worked in the Belmont/San Carlos/AT&T Ball Park Office. In Belmont I worked under
7 physicians: Internal Medicine/Family Practice. I worked front and back office. I am also cross trained to work in the call center since we get 600-700 calls a day. My responsibilities as an MA were patient care: vitals, injections, EKG’s, tray set up’s prepping patients for minor surgeries, urology readings/send outs. Handling multiple phone lines, faxes and referrals. Throughout the foundation we had constant communication through email (outlook). While in front office I would check patients in and out. Verifying insurance’s and Implementing HIPPA and OSHA regulations. Constant compliance maintenance was also a daily chore. The San Carlos Office was a brand new office that was transitioned from a private practice into the foundation with 2 Internal Medicine Physicians. I was sent there to help transition the office and train MA’s and front office staff to learn the Allscripts/Flowcast system. I also set up the Laboratory and ordered whatever was needed to be in compliance. Ordering and setting up SDS, OSHA, emergency Log Binders. Ordering supplies needed in the lab and keeping up with all proper documentation. The AT&T Office was also a new office that was transitioned into the medical foundation. I was transferred there because I requested to be closer to home. I did back office there which consist of patient care: vitals, injections, autoclaving, phones, faxes and referrals.

Justin P. Fong is an Internal Medicine Private Practice. I was hired there from my externship. I worked for Justin Fong for 3 1 2 years. I worked front and back office and I also did billing. I checked patient’s in and out, took there vitals, gave injections and sent out any referrals necessary. I also scanned medical records and made copies if needed. Prepared charts daily prior to patient appointments and also prepared charts

I started as a courtesy clerk: customer services, bagging, cleaning the restrooms and
stocking. 2 months later I was promoted into the seafood department as a seafood
clerk: customer services, stocking, ordering, price changes and serving seafood (which
consist of cutting and cleaning). 4 months later I was promoted to a Seafood Manager
in which I handled scheduling employees, customer services, implementing OSHA and promotional sales. I had 4 employees under me that I trained. I resigned in 2010 to pursue my education in medical assisting and returned in 2014 and is still working for safeway as a cashier.
