A FURTHER WORD ON WORKING SKILLS

Monthly payroll tasks were mainly performed via Excel during my time at SNG GT, which included the monthly submissions of PAYE / UIF / SDL via e-filing whilst payroll functions for my current employers, ARC Sakhile, are performed by an individual other than myself.

I have made use of the monthly analysis / year to date reports prepared by the Sage Payroll program for financial statement preparation reconciliatory purposes.

I am adaptable and able to learn if required.

I am proficient in the calculation of the yearly income tax returns for individuals, though I am not allowed to submit such via e-filing as I am not a registered tax practitioner.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

I speak fluent Afrikaans and English have very good grammar and punctuation.

I am proficient in Afrikaans and English accounting seeing as my accounting studies were performed in Afrikaans at High School level and in English at University level.

NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF MYSELF

I am quiet and introverted and may even rightly be labeled as shy. Though some people may feel that these are negative traits, I would merely like to think of myself as someone who focuses on doing the given task at hand. Despite this, I am friendly and easy to get along with.

I would also like to think of myself as dependable, trustworthy and hardworking.

I am a lifelong teetotaler and do not consume any alcoholic substances.

A quick word regarding my education level, qualifications and work experience;

During my matriculation year I obtained a C mark, that is, a mark of between 60% and 69%, for accounting. This enabled me to apply to a university for a BCompt degree.

I have obtained my qualification for accounting sciences during the 2015 calendar year from the University of South Africa which enabled me to obtain employment as a SAIPA trainee at my previous employer, audit firm SizweNtsalubaGobodo GrantThornton (SNG GT Inc).

I have finished my articles and obtained my designation as Professional Accountant (SA) at the end of the 2019 calendar year. I am currently a full member in good standing with membership number 43850.

I am currently fulfilling the role of accounting manager at ARC Sakhile Accounting, Tax and Secretarial Services (Pty) Ltd, performing my duties mostly as a financial accountant with some supervisory duties.

I am currently exploring the options available to me and would consider any offers wherein I feel my current position and remuneration can be improved upon.

Though I have spent virtually all of my career working in an accounting / auditing firm environment, I feel that I would also be able to adapt well to business opportunities working as an accountant / bookkeeper for a private business.
