Duties and Responsibilities:

1)Being knowledgeable of the whole Hotel facilities and services provided

2)To ensure guests queries are dealt with in a helpful and professional manner

3)Informing HOD in case of any issues that needs his or higher managements attention

4)Deal with all guest request in a polite and efficient manner, delegating work where necessary to other staff (bellmen, In-room dining, Engineering, Security, etc), and then following up to ensure that the guest has been satisfied

5)Responsible for ensuring consistency in exceeding guest service expectations

6)Responsible for the entire hotel during the night shift in terms of monitoring the operation, ensuring the safety & security of the hotel, colleagues and guests

7)Log all guest comments in the Duty Managers logbook and prepare a summary of all comments from the previous 24 hours which can be used at the morning meeting.

8)Process, check and distribute the necessary management reports.

9)Providing a daily feedback about the operation to the GM and FOM through multiple ways like incidents report, GM’s report, Night Manager Report, Complaints report with supporting documentation and final accurate conclusions.

10)Supervise the work of the front office supervisors. Review the achieved tasks of their daily check list

11)Ensures that all Front Office Standards of Service & Operational Procedures are adhered

12)Handling the inventory during sold out days both on STAAH as well as Goldres. Rate updating as per the occupancy chart.

13)Move around the hotel to interact with as many guests and staff as possible

14)Responsible for the nightly end of day reporting is complete; ensuring accuracy in balancing accounts

15)Perform all necessary reconciliation’s and audit functions for the Reception in order to complete the day’s business

16)Reports directly to and communicates with the Rooms division Manager on all pertinent Front Office matters affecting guest service

17) Performing MOD tasks as and when required

18)Simultaneously handling the entire reservation and front desk operations

19)To work closely with sales team for updating online rates as per the forecast and to create and update the company profile time to time

20)Randomly checking arrival rooms for any maintenance or cleaning issues, if found any to be brought to the respective HOD’s
