● A 4-year medical magnet program added into the Maury High School curriculum that selects only a fraction of the total number of rising 9th graders that apply for admission.
● MHSP Highlights:
Taking courses exclusive only to members of the program that collide biological sciences with medicinal applications that student members take each year. Including BioMed (freshman), ChemMed (sophomore), Anatomy and Physiology (Junior; details below) and Sports Medicine/ Emergency Medical Responders/ Forensic Science/ Bioethics (senior).
■ MHSP has a long-standing collaboration with the
Eastern Virginia Medical School, which has enabled students, particularly the junior students taking Anatomy and Physiology, the ability to use it's cadaver lab (and other associated facilities) for the full school year to study various systems of the human body.
