Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan and schedule the work and efficiently organize the site/facilities in order to meet the agreed program.

Design and preplanning of the scaffold including weight limitations, scaffold types, fall protection, tie-offs, supports etc.

Overseeing the erection of the scaffold.

Final inspection of the scaffold prior to initial occupation for use.

At a minimum, daily inspection and documentation of the condition of the scaffold and its ability to be occupy safely.

Inspections of scaffolds after changes alterations have been made.

Oversight and inspections of mobile scaffolds.

Training of other competent person, scaffold erectors, dismantle and users.

Contact HSE for assistance and guidance in any of the duties associated with being a competent person.

Coordinate and control the work of the dependent team, within the assigned plant area plan and implement the distribution of materials and equipment to allow the crew to perform the assigned activities.

Ensure total compliance with safety and quality procedures and standards.

Carry out the daily toolbox talks with team.

Ensure adherence to the planned time frame targets.

Coordinate with the works supervisor to optimize the use of scaffolding materials and teams on work site.

Work closely with team and know how to use an outline for work scope for execution of project scaffolding works.

Assist in developing enhanced scaffolding standards at the workplace.

Check, inspect, rectify, and certify the scaffold before use.

Member of the site safety committee.

Conduct regular safety talks covering pertinent topics

Monitor all daily scaffolding activities to ensure safe work practices are in place

Act to stop any unsafe practices and immediately repot any unsafe condition to project management.

Maintain good communication with all departments.
