General Management

Head the Supply Chain division and manage all supply chain activities including procurement, logistics, warehousing and inventory control contributing to the achievement of the organization’s business objectives.

Conduct monthly meetings with operational and sales teams to review performance, identify action plans for improvement and resolve issues.

Review and administer all supply and service contracts, process regular progress payment of vendors/contractors and manage claims submitted by vendors/suppliers and claims on clients.

Track and report performance of the department against key functional metrics and recommend action plans for continual improvement.

Procurement

Develop and implement procurement strategies for various major categories of materials in order to ensure on time availability at best prices and terms.

Coordinate with various departments to consolidate requirements of various items and formulate annual procurement plans to secure volume-based price advantage and deliver cost savings.

Plan and procure materials from local as well as overseas markets as per customer orders, negotiating with suppliers to achieve cost, quality, quantity and delivery requirements.

Develop and execute negotiation strategies to minimize excessive costing, obtain better credit terms and contract conditions.

Liaise with suppliers and establish delivery schedules for frequently procured materials assuring availability as required with optimum stockholdings.

Review all purchase orders and contracts including local purchase orders (LPO) and process all procurement claims assuring compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures.

Deal with all aspects of vendor management including managing performance of existing vendors as well as acquiring new reliable and cost-effective suppliers.

Build and sustain good relations with vendors through effective communications to obtain best prices, terms and condition as well as on time renewal of contracts.

Develop and manage alternate sources of procurement in the event of existing suppliers failing to meet delivery commitments

Conduct regular formal evaluations and informal reviews of vendor performance against predefined SLAs and provide feedback for improvement in key metrics of cost, quality, delivery and service response. Logistics, Warehousing and Inventory Control

Supervise warehouse operations ensuring proper receipt, storage, accounting and issues of all materials with optimum utilization of space and equipment and adherence to safety and health rules and procedures.

Deal with inventory control activities including perpetual inventory and controlled warehouse checks to ensure inventory integrity and perform various inventory analysis – ABC, XYZ, FSN and Max-Min – to optimize overall stock holdings.
