Responsible for providing as the charge nurse load varies from 30-40 bed units in long term and short stay settings notably transferred patients from Kaiser for administered medications, injections and treatment schedules as prescribed by physicians and documents.
Conduct Care Plan meeting with head department regarding residents and their families ensuring feedback and communication to develop a plan of care that is tailored to patient’s needs and recovery goals for patients that suffer from chronic illness and are disabled physically such as stroke, hip fractures, multiple trauma, cardiac, and pulmonary condition.
Transcribe physician's order, make necessary appointments, assist staff nurses with transfers, discharges and initial assessment of patients upon admissions.
Provide basic patient care and treatments such as taking vital signs, wound treatments giving enemas, or performing catheterizations.
Documented and recorded patient’s health status, weekly summary, Medicare/Medicaid charting and nursing care.
Observe patients and report any change in condition to RN and MD.
