My name is Larry Klosterhoff. For 30 plus years I worked as a small business owner. I operated as a broker/representative for distributors and manufactures providing sales, marketing support and customer service on their behalf. Primarily, we provided products and services to supermarket chains. Our focus was providing front line contact between the companies that we represented and the retailers and distributors that we sold products to.
While preparing a strong marketing plan and ultimately achieving our sales goals, I believe we often times overlook the importance of customer service. It may be the biggest part of the equation in our responsibility with the customer. Without excellent customer service the other parts of one’s effort i.e. planning, sales, marketing, advertising and general support is diminished. If a customer, new or existing is not provided excellence in customer service in conjunction with the products they purchase from us, I will guarantee they will not remain a customer long term.
After retiring, I felt I still have energy in the tank. I still have the desire to work and be part of the success we all strive for. While my health doesn’t allow me to be as mobile as I would like, I have years of experience to bolster the all important contact with your customers and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships on your behalf.
