• Safely operate all wheel vehicles and equipment over varied terrain and roadways.

• Manage load, unload, and safety of personnel and equipment being transported and protects cargo against damage.

•Operates vehicle material handling equipment (MHE), as required. Employs land navigation techniques. Maintains qualification with radios and vehicle-mounted weapons. Performs vehicle self-recovery and field expedients to include towing.

• Employ convoy defense techniques and mass movement of multiple vehicles in a convoy.

• Identify and correct or report all vehicle deficiencies.

• Prepare vehicle for movement/shipment by air, rail or vessel.

•Combat Lifesaving skills: Aside from basic first aid, Combat Lifesavers are also taught to identify and perform the correct pre-hospital treatment for:

•Tension pneumothorax produced by a penetrating (bullet/frag) or non-penetrating (explosive barotrauma) lung injury

•Vascular hypovolemia produced by uncontrolled external hemorrhage

•External arterial hemorrhage (especially from an extremity)

•Unstabilized spinal cord injuries

•Sucking chest wound produced by a penetrating (bullet/frag) lung injury

•Respiratory failure produced by an unprotected airway in an unconscious or semi-conscious person
