Being an Administrator was a challenging experience. I wrote COVID-19 policies and procedures. Otherwise, I dealt with the facility operations, personnel issues (includes workers’ compensation claims and unemployment reporting) and working with the outside accountant to accurately reflect operations. I prepared the information for preparation of the Medicaid and Medicare cost reports for Plante Moran, the outside consultants. I prepared a quarterly budget and monitored the expenses for departmental compliance. I set up the COVID accounting records so they can be audited. I also reported the expenditures and related income for the federal and state monies received. I dealt with Medicaid (MDHHS)) auditors. I have been through four infection control government surveys and two state/federal surveys.
