I’m a primary and secondary ESL Teacher who has had the opportunity to work with students of different age groups and socio-economic backgrounds during my training. I’m enthusiastic about creating a positive impact on students. I always try to find ways to make the topics and activities appealing to students, to motivate them and create a positive attitude towards learning the L2. I have also attended many professional development workshops as I believe it is essential for teachers to keep up to date with the latest teaching methodologies and techniques. Integrating the full potential of technology in promoting learning to help motivate students’ engagement and the role of the students’ mother tongue in second language learning were recurrent themes of these workshops, as well as improving speaking and listening skills. My involvement was also a great way of building effective relationships with colleagues and learning from their contributions and experiences.
