Personal Statement
I am a knowledgeable, energetic individual with over 20 years of experience spanning commercial electrical construction, residential electrical service and construction, electrical project management and solar construction/project management. With a background in the US Marine Corps and the ambition to succeed in any situation, I have consistently proven my ability to adapt to new challenges and work well under pressure. I get along well with others and make it a point to have a positive attitude toward everything I do. I am seeking a position with a company that shares my values and could benefit from my experience.
Work Experience
Electrical Service Technician/Field Supervisor, Branch Manager
Mister Sparky, Pompano Beach, FL (January 2016 – present)
• Installed, maintained and repaired residential and commercial electrical equipment and services
• Sold, installed and repaired over $500,000 in revenue throughout 2018 and was the second place technician in the country.
• My position as Field Supervisor consisted of answering questions from other field techs when the branch manager wasn’t available. I also checked quality of work performed to insure all electrical codes have been followed.
Project Manager
Sun Edison/MEMC, Beltsville, MD (Contract Position, July 2012 – Oct 2015)
• Responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects, from permitting through fully commissioned status
• Worked closely with engineering department during the planning and design process to confirm codes have been followed and discuss any concerns with design feasibility.
• Arranged meetings with inspectors, contractors and engineering staff to clarify any concerns with design and make changes accordingly.
• Incorporated Warehouse and Shipping Managers into weekly status meeting to maintain strict delivery schedule due to extremely limited space.
• Conducted daily meetings with contractors to promote communication, receive status updates and answer questions.
• Consistently met aggressive deadlines and avoided additional expenses by conducting a daily quality control walk-through, followed by meetings to confirm necessary changes have been made to satisfy previous concerns.
