PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
BOSCH THERMOTECHNOLOGY/FHP MANUFACTURING, Fort Lauderdale, FL 2014 – Present
Automation Test Technician/Quality Control Auditor
HVAC controls related experience including troubleshooting and diagnostics of complex control applications on the manufacturing Plant. Participated in the design, development, installation and commissioning of the new Testing System for product reliability. Redesigned all the peripheral control cables for Test System applications. Supported and assured proper operation of testing equipment including Decay Test, E-Box subassembly testing and end of line test at Run Off. Used piping schematics, electrical wiring diagrams and work instruction layouts to assure 100% unit compliance with quality standards and engineering designs. Performed different tasks as a Quality Control Auditor (A-Test, Q-Test, Dry ) on the manufacturing floor and testing area. Process software used TestBuilder, SQL Data Processing and WebCTRL for OEMs.
TYCO INTERNATIONAL/SENSORMATIC ELECTRONICS CORP., Boca Raton, FL 1997 –2013
Electrical Controls/ Commissioning Engineer
Worked on design and development of Dual Technology RFID Automated Machines. Travelled to China for installation and commissioning of thirteen RFID Work Cells and reached the 30 million tags/month output milestone goal set. Designed, custom built, commissioned, and installed the automated machinery needed for Boca Raton plant manufacturing processes and production lines.
Identified need to step forward and took over part of major project due to loss of two important players in machine design team and brought rotary table part of $2 million Roll Cell up to par.
Developed and commissioned complex peripheral machine needed for process, which resulted in Cell being in production line, and met deadline. Production was increased 20%.
A leader in projects for transfers of Roll Cells and rotary sheet tables to Mexico, Puerto Rico, China and Ireland facilities and accomplished seamless transition in the setting of their manufacturing plants.
Performed successful complex modifications of machines from one version to another as needed by manufacture.
Played major role in accomplishment of putting five additional Roll Cells in Boca manufacturing facilities, which resulted in achieving best output in history.
AMERIKEM LABORATORIES LTD, Orange, NJ 1995 – 1997
Technical Field Service Representative
Installed, wired and commissioned state of the art dispensing systems for the hospitality, healthcare and food industries.
Performed programming, modifications of formulas, programming changes and troubleshooting of systems. Traveled throughout Dade, Broward, Palm Beach Counties and the Bahamas Islands.
VESTA TECHNOLOGY LTD, Fort Lauderdale, FL 1992 – 1995
Instrumentation/Controls Field Engineer
Worked as an Instrumentation Controls Field Engineer (I/C Field Engineer) both in the United States and Canada, burning hazardous waste materials.
Installed, wired, cabled, calibrated and commissioned electrical and electronic systems on the Vesta-200 Mobile (propane gas combustion) Incineration unit plant (start-up and PID Loop checked included). Purchased instrumentation for the automation of the incineration process. Supervised up to six operators helping during set up and clean up.
Calibrated field devices with various test equipment including Druck pressure generator, Transmation temperature generator, Honeywell Smartfield communicator programmer, Omega PH meter, Lancom portable gas analyzer, 4-20 mA analog signal generator, DC power supply, Dwyer manometer, insulation voltage tester (Megger), VOMs, Amprobe, oscilloscope and digital testers.
Worked with Modicon PLC. Interfaced PLC to machines and peripherals. Software used included Taylor–Modicon Ladder logic and process windows.
EASTERN AIRLINES INC., Miami, FL 1990 – 1991
(Commercial Airlines Company)
Electro-Mechanical Technician
Troubleshot various systems such as CSD (constant speed drive), VSD (variable speed drive), Randtriever, Mannesmann Demag, and other electrical systems. Also gained valuable experience as a plant operator of utilities and a thorough improvement of mechanical skills.
NEW ENGLAND ENGINEERS AND DESIGNERS, Westwood, MA 1987 – 1990
(Engineering contracting company)
Electro–Mechanical Technician
Assignments at LTX Corporation, Westwood, MA. Built, modified, tested, and troubleshot circuit boards to the component level from schematics. Performed electro-mechanical assembly of ATE (Automated Test Equipment) systems.
Assignments at Engelhard Corporation, Milford, MA. Technician in Photo-patterning Division involved with photolithography processes (photo-resist chemistry, wafer alignment and exposure, development of printed circuits on substrates, etching and sputtering).
