Email: **********************@*****.*** 30 years of Industrial/Commercial/ Residential and Aerospace painting with experience and knowledge of chemicals, coatings and various ways of applying.

Objective

I have extensive experience in commercial / Industrial / residential and aerospace painting including working for Boeing for a decade applying coatings on aerospace parts as well as airplanes themselves.

During that time my experience was with layouts, prepping various materials but mainly aluminum spraying with either an hvlp with a gravity feed gun, an inline airless or large pressure pots painting. Having used these various methods as well as electrostatic over the years my ability and knowledge of the various chemicals and the many different types of coatings, to include two part epoxy, how reducers are used and component A and B. I do enjoy spraying the most on spin tables or upright frames…in a spray booth or in lifts or ladders staying paint.

For the past (10yrs) I’ve maintained a small company ..that would include me and a helper resurfacing bathtubs, surround shower systems as well as tile and shower stalls using acetone, lacquer thinner and a three part base of epoxy with a catolist and a reducer.

In aerospace I applied Teflon coatings on the leading edges of the wings, barrier coatings on the fuel cell, and applying the flight numbers on the tail section so they could fly to be painted at Seattle or Everett was some of my more common duties as well as the thousand of commercial parts we did daily in the spray booths.

I’m looking to use my knowledge and skills of chemicals and coatings and my thirty years of use with hvlp gravity feed guns, inline airless systems, commercial pressure pots, powder coating application and electrostatic systems in support of the daily work load

With my back ground I would like to connect with a company that could use my knowledge and skills to be a small but important part of their daily success. For what I know, Im still learning and always keep that understanding that you can be taught something new if you keep your mind open to new ideas and technology.

What I’d really enjoy doing every day is just show up and doing production work by spraying coatings on anything that won’t walk away from me. Running a small business has been a positive experience but Id like to just get back into the actual painting work it’s self and allow someone else to take care of the day to day necessary part of the paper work

I truly missed just working, their has been so many different hats in running a small business I just want to work and do what I enjoy and know and that’s painting ..period!

Experience Affordable Resurfacing Services) : Owner/ Operator from 2011 to present

Paint company of fine finishes and application of epoxy in Resurfacing of bathtubs, shower pans, tile, wall enclosures as so as mill packages and lacquer surface.

As the owner of this small but positive business I’ve gotten to the point… I’m tired of working 24/7 having to bid the work, estimate the work, complete the work, invoice the work, banking etc…it’s been a great experience but I would like someone else to do the part that I no longer enjoy…what I do enjoy is the actual work portion and I miss that working for a company specific working fr a company. Boeing) : Painter Sprayer of Coatings.

March 15th 1996 to December 10th 2010 (laid off 3 times)

Worked in the Renton, Seattle, Aurburn and the Everett plants in the prime and paint shops and also on weekends at times working in the hangers painting the jets.

I enjoyed putting in ten hour days and working 16,17,18 weekends in a row. I would work as much as the company would need me and I enjoyed the work and the aerospace industry. I truly miss being a small part of a big company. There was alot of satisfaction each day as we completed the production work that was assigned to us painting anything and everything is the spray booths spraying primers and too coat coatings on the various parts that make up a plane. Summit Contracting: General Construction Repair/Remodel/ General Repairs.

I ran this company from 1990 to March 10th 1996.

This was a company that I ran doing anything needed in flipping homes for property investors and management companies who over saw large portfolios of real estate. I would be called upon to help support the work to get the single family homes, condominiums, apartments or commercial property rent r wry for a new tenant.

This included various needs dep bring on th proj ft and who owned the property. Generally we would repair the drywall, matching textures, prime and painting of the repaires and the walls and ceilings making everything fresh. I also would install new locks, remove and replace anything from faucete to electrical outlets plugs to lighting to plumbing rework.

I learned how to repair and resurface bathtubs and showers in a two par epoxy and an hvlp system along with gravity guns or cup guns. Taking an out dated tub and Resurfacing it in a day making it look brand new. We also would do a similar process in the counter tops saving the owners time and money by getting there counters in the same day looking like a granite slab or multisoec stone.

Their wasn’t much I didn’t take care of from the tile to the flooring replacing anything within the rental that wasn’t working correctly or was broken. Over the years that means everything but a service panel I would say.

Employment from 1985 to 1996 Clayborn Contracting and Construction Silver Star Restoration Bench Restoration

During this time is when I learned how to paint and the correct ways of applying interior / exterior paint and paint relayed chemicals.

I was exposed to different methods of applying coatings and the different products to be used in paint field during this time. These were mostly Insurance Restoration companies and it’s where I learned how to do the remodel and repair work as well as the painting of interior and exterior surfaces. Probably the most important issue I learned at this time was how to talk to clients..dealing with them in their personal homes and businesses. It takes time learning how to interact and the way you sharing information and day to day information.
