Currently coordinating and supervising the construction process on the following modules, the Habitability module, sail, Nucleonic Lab Deck. Supervise the construction process throughout the life of the project, from build through test and turnovers. Ensuring that the project is safely completed to requirements, on time and within budget, AOR s range from a single compartment to multiple compartments, a section of a ship or the entire system. Currently working multiple areas on the VCS program. Responsible for job activities, that can prevent supervision from spending productive time on the deck plate and assisting their workforce. As the PST supervisor some of the job functions are Write Er’s work permits, SORs and SCRs, attend POD’s / Agenda meetings as need to support the team. Assist GF’s with assessing ship’s condition for executable work determine by the phase of construction. My job also involved assisting foremen with progressing their work packages and filling in for supervisor.

Currently a Nuclear Reactor Supervisor on the VCS program. My job duties entail making sure employees reporting to me understand what is expected of them. I am a motivator, who develops and trains employees to be an asset to the electrical department. I also support the following departments with excellent customer service: E86, E84, and QID. I am the first African American to be a part of the delivery team from the electrical department selling the reactor compartments to the United States Navy. My job also entails performing duties in a vast setting within the electrical department from installation of cables to testing. Being an Electrical Supervisor has afforded the opportunity to work in every aspect of the department. My dedication and distinct knowledge has also allowed me to fulfill the duties as a long term Makeup General Foreman for X31 within the delivery team and module units for the submarine program. I have also had the opportunity to supervise a team of employees on the Air Craft Carrier. My job includes the functions of installation of equipment and wire ways. Extensive training on modules in the CMAF habitability, AMR, Sail and Reactor Compartment testing and trouble shooting various equipment in all areas in the reactor and supporting x84 when problems arrive, also fall under my extensive training and experiences.

Performing duties as a Supervisor, I have written ER’s, work permits and investigated various jobs to help solve problems on and off the ship. Attended safety meetings, (Pow) plan of the week meetings, and (POD) plan of the day and agenda meetings. Helped support X84 to track down materials. Supported supervisors in maintaining their packages; to ensure sure they do not work beyond there target hours and assisted in maintaining a CPI of one for each supervisor. Began work packages and made sure Supervisors closed work packages on time. This entailed reviewing packages and making sure all lines were signed to each work package. I have operated the following programs: MAC, WPS, TWMS and electronic desktop to perform duties. Performed duties as Supervisor in my area of responsibility included working section nine on the Virginia class submarine. Thus including the responsibility of a crew of six employees working under my supervision. My goal was to motivate, develop and train employees to ensure job tasks were completed by procedures and working fulfill a first time quality product.

Worked units installing and testing heater distribution panels, galley equipment switchboards, transformers, generators and converters. Responsible for inspecting the work of others, to make sure things are done according to the methods of the VCS program. Carried out the duties of reading, schematics and sundry drawings. Wired diagrams to terminate the equipment. Wrapped cables. Diligently worked on cathodic protection anodes on the VCS and Carrier program. Installed hangers for cables on the carrier. Terminated pothead motors, alarm lights, also mounted bells and transformer lights. Shot studs, worked dial generator, hooked & packed transits. Worked on electronics system. Frequently worked on steer gears with about 4 co-workers under my supervision mounting equipment. Terminated transformers, 1MC speakers, lights, power panels, lighting panels, bending of cables and packing bulkhead tubes. Worked deck edge lighting and JP-5 stations. Tested fiber optic plants. Performed the duties of the makeup supervisor for the X31 test electrical crew.

3/99 – 3/03 Electrician

Job function was to supervisor the work of the following Utilized a 500-ton crane for specific tasks such as working all of the electrical components. Terminated motor control centers, lights, hoist motors, control buckets, and alarm systems. Had a crew of 5 responsible for hauling cables to each distributed lighting panel, ran conduit to different systems. Examined blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams for each task assigned.

8/95 – 7/97 “A” Class Electrician

Performed duties on oilrigs, installed cable trays and wire ways. Hauled cables, terminated lights, alarm systems, packed transits, Welded, terminated transformers Troubleshot and repaired fluorescent lights and various lighting systems. Also had the responsibility of leading a crew of 12 employees under my supervision.
