I currently work for an ISO 17025 (Accredited), ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 certified petrochemical inspection and testing company called Bureau Veritas Gazelle as the HSEQ Lead. I have completed my Bachelor of Science degree at University of Kwa-zulu Natal in 2014. I have also completed numerous QHSE related courses which can be seen in my CV below.

At BVG, I monitor and manage QHSE at all our branches in South Africa. I am responsible for the implementation and maintenance of our company management systems. I perform internal HSEQ audits at all branches in SA as well as prepare and represent sites for audits by external bodies

(Customers/external auditing bodies). Other duties include the reporting and investigation (Root cause analysis, Corrective Actions and Review) of accidents, incidents and near hits, monitoring and compilation of monthly safety reports for Top Management and Customers/ updating of safety dashboards, the distribution of Safety Alerts, Tool box talks and Safety awareness posters and campaigns as well as monthly focus training that is conducted at all branches. I conduct job hazard analysis and risk assessments, I am also responsible for emergency preparedness, mock drills and safety review meetings. My role in training extends to the laboratory, where I conduct training on standard methods such as ASTM, Standard operating procedures (Development, Implementation and Review), Standing instructions, Quality control (Setting up QC samples, Monitoring and reporting) as well as the safe use of equipment.
