MAINTENANCE TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGER (1990 TO 1994)

Developed process containment equipment and piping predictive/preventive maintenance program which became the corporate standard for tank and pressure vessel standard for design, inspection, repair, and retirement of equipment to comply with PSM,

Created a team of API, ASNT, and AWS certified inspectors who inspected and tracked all vessels in the facilities,

Developed Tribology program for DOW’s Turbo-Machinery and developed a team of lubrication engineers to monitor over nine hundred critical compressors, pumps, turbines, and transformers. Built one of the most advanced tribology labs on the Gulf Coast to test of oil quality, oxidation levels, oil additive concentrations and volatility. This lab also provided quantitative analysis services to refineries in Louisiana.

A member of the Chemical Manufacturers Association committee to evaluate and interpret OSHA 1910.119 for general industry, assess costs, and provide comment to OSHA prior to final hearings.

Full Profit and Loss responsibility for 1.5 billion pounds/year chlorinated hydrocarbon plant.

Recruited, trained, and supervised an engineering staff, operations staff, and maintenance organization.
