SCHOOL PROJECTS
-1982: Nitruration Gazeuse et TENIFER (Gaseous and Salt-bath Nitriding, TENIFER - patented by DEGUSA, Germany). This was the subject of my work during the industrial attachment I did at ATELIER DU FOREZ, Traitements Thermiques, Saint Etienne, France.
-1983: Trempabilité de 100C6 ( Hardenability of 100C6 – a carbon-chrome steel usually used for fabrication of tools and bearings). My final year project was sponsored by SNR, Annecy, France (manufacturer of bearings) and SERVIMETAL, Chambery, France (supplier of heat treating consumables).
-1983/84: THOMSON CSF, Aix-en-Provence, France (Electronic manufacturing company).
As a trainee engineer, my duty consisted in conducting a study on problem of dislocation consequent on doping of silicium wafers. Later I was charged with the development of optimum combination of chemical reactants for cleaning wafers at various stages of manufacture of semiconductors by EPITAXIE-PLANAR or (-MESA) method.
WORK EXPERIENCE
-Blingual (English, French) translation of technical (mostly engineering) documents.
-1999 to 2019: Self-employed. Owner of JAJ COMPUTERS and INTERNATIONAL SUPERMAKET, Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria. We are involved in computer services, sales of laptops, computers and components; groceries and household supplies.
- 1997 – 1999: ERNID ENGINEERING LTD, Ojuelegba, Lagos, Nigeria. I was working with the Project implementation unit responsible for material selection, requisition, ordering and procurement as well as contract management.
-1992 – 96: I worked in few companies in different economic sectors including SYNDICAT INTERCOMMUNAL DE VOIRIE DES CANTONS DE CLUSES ET DE SCIONZIER, France. I was among the team responsible for rural roads maintenance within the two communities.
-1991. TRAITEMENTS THERMIQUES MARQUET, Cluses, France. The company is into Heat and surface treatment of engineering parts. I worked as a shift manager - the company was running a 5X8 shift duty on a 24-hour, 7 days a week cycle.
-1990 – 91: ETS E. CAUX, TRAITEMENTS THERMIQUES, Cluses, France. They are involved in contract heat treatment of engineering parts. It was a small family business and I was helping, principally, in defining the “gamme de traitements” (required treatment of engineering parts and method).
-1989 – 1990: ATELIER DU FOREZ, TRAITEMENTS THERMIQUES, Saint Etienne, France. (Engineering parts heat treating contractors). As an assistant production manager, I was helping with determining the appropriate treatment procedure (gamme de traitements), supervision and relation with customers. In addition, I was especially in charge of vacuum and gaseous nitriding units.
-1987 – 88: NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS (NYSC). A compulsory national service for all Nigerian graduates. I served at Adetola Comprehensive School, Ijebu-ode, Ogun State, Nigeria where I taught Mathematics.
