School Social Worker for over 100 Incarcerated male and female clients in a Maxim Security Treatment Center Provided school social work services to any special education student who are having issues with their behaviors, which impede their academic success. Worked with students who were experiencing mental health issues, sexual offenders, and students who were involved with drugs and alcohol. Along with the Teacher Consultant and Psychologist, in my first year, I helped conduct 10 MET and 60 Individualized Educational Planning Committee meetings for Emotionally Impaired students and was a part of 50 other evaluations some of which included behavior goals. I was responsible for developing and implementing transition goals and plans for all students with an IEP. Developed annual and short-term goals for all 25 EI and AI students and I meet with students on a bi-weekly basis. I assisted staff in implementing TCI techniques and strategies, including de-escalation with students and staff after the incident. I coordinated services with outside agencies who working with our student’s such as therapists, probation officers, and school officials.

Extra-Curricular I have coached baseball in grades K-12 and have coached basketball and in grades K-6. I also served as the middle school Athletic Director. I have also coached track in middle school and ran an after school running program for elementary students. I have also been a class sponsor in high school and coordinated after school student assistance programs in both the middle and high school. I have also run parenting education programs after school.
