The Au Pair will live with the host family for a period of months, starting from
(within the permitted maximum/minimum period) under the conditions laid down hereinafter. During this period, the Au Pair shall be given the opportunity to improve her/his education, in particular with regard to the Host Country’s language by attending language classes, and to increase her/his general cultural development. www.aupair.com 1 22.03.2019

2. Host Family’s Rights and Duties
2.1 The Host Family is committed to welcome the Au Pair into the family and to let her/him share the daily family life; in this regard, the Host Family makes the following declaration of which the Au Pair takes note:
a) that the Host Family consists of members, including adults and children:

b) that the family lives in a house/flat (delete whichever does not apply), consisting of rooms including bathroom (s), situated (distance) from an educational institution where appropriate courses in the Host Country’s language are available. c) The Host Family employs the following domestic staff in the home: d) The language normally spoken in the household is: 2.2 The Host Family provides board and lodging for the Au Pair and places at her/his disposal a separate suitable, lockable room with daylight and of at least eight square meters. The Au Pair participates in the meals and receives the same food as the family, if parties don’t agree differently.
2.3 In addition, the Host Family pays the Au Pair pocket money amounting to monthly. This pocket money can be paid either on a weekly/monthly basis (delete whichever does not apply).
2.4 The Au Pair should not work for more than hours per week. Her/his working hours should be regulated so that the Au Pair has the opportunity to take part in lectures to improve her/his language skills and to participate in cultural activities. The costs of the language classes will be paid for by the Host Family/the Au Pair (delete as applicable). The costs of the journey to the language classes will be paid for by the Host Family/the Au Pair

2.5 The Au Pair is entitled to have free day (s) per week. Among the monthly free days is at least one full free weekend. The Host Family allows the free performance of faith during the common times (e.g. church visit, etc.). 2.6 The Au Pair receives for every full month 2 days holiday. Taking part in the family's holiday is only recognised as holiday if the Au Pair does minor jobs. During the holidays, the pocket money continues to be paid.
2.7 The Host Family does not pay the Au Pair's travel costs to and from the Host Family's residence. The Host Family will however collect the Au Pair from the nearest international terminal (airport, railway or coach station) to take him/her to the family's residence, or provide and pay for a taxi.

2.8 The Host Family undertakes to register the Au Pair to the social security scheme which covers the following benefits (that shall cover disease, hospital care, medical care, pharmaceutical expenses, pregnancy and birth):

The Host Family shall provide a private insurance, guaranteeing the Au Pair the following benefits
The premium amounts to per month. The whole/half
of the premium. (delete whichever does not apply) shall be paid by the Host Family. 2.9 If the Au Pair falls ill, the Host Family shall continue to provide board and lodging and gives all appropriate care until other solutions are found. 2.10 The Au Pair will research and comply with all immigration formalities required by the Host Country. Within their capabilities, the Host Family will help the Au Pair with the registration formalities.
3. Au Pair’s Rights and Duties
3.1 The Au Pair agrees to help with the daily household chores, including looking after the children, up to hours a day/ a week (Within the permitted maximum).The Au Pair is ready to fulfil all duties stated in this contract carefully and with best care and attention. Cleaning and tidying up the Au Pair’s own room, as well as washing and ironing of own clothing doesn’t count as housework. Please specify the services the Au Pair will be required to perform:

3.3 The Au Pair is committed to return home at the end of the contract; if the Au Pair has saved holidays, she/he can return home earlier.
4. Miscellaneous Provisions
4.1 Should either party cancel this contract, a two week period of notice must be given in writing. The Host Family must honour the lodging and pocket money obligation for the notice period, unless both parties agree otherwise. The Au Pair must continue to fulfill her/his childcare and domestic duties for the notice period, unless both parties agree otherwise. 4.2 Regardless of whether the period concerned is specified or not, in the event of serious misconduct by one of the parties, the other party may immediately terminate the agreement. Either of the parties may also terminate the agreement with immediate effect if serious circumstances make such instant termination necessary. 4.3 Should parts of this contract be invalid or become invalid, the other regulations remain valid.
4.4. Verbal agreements are seen as not made, if they are not written down in this contract. 4.5 The parties also agree on the following:

- one to be retained by the Au Pair.
