I am an experienced Paramedic and Public Safety Professional with almost 30 years of work experience. I have been working in the Emergency Services and Public Safety fields since 1993. I began my career as a volunteer EMT and dispatcher for Western Queens Community Hospital in Astoria NY. I continued my career in the New York City Fire Department as a paid Emergency Medical Technician. I received an upgrade to paramedic at the FDNY EMS Academy in the year 2000, Hazmat Technician in 2003, and Confined Space Building Collapse in 2006 at the FDNY Technical Rescue School on Randalls Island. I have a degree in Applied Science from SUNY Ulster Community College. I have extensive experience working in the Environmental Health and Safety Field as an Occupational Health Technician and Construction Site Fire Safety Manager since January 2010. I have worked at major construction projects, such as the WTC Restoration Project, The LaGuardia Airfield Reconfiguration Project with Medcor Inc. and the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project with Paramount Safety Consultants. I have worked in all the five boroughs of the City of New York. I was deployed to the World Trade Center during the recovery phase operations on September 12, 2001. I was deployed to Deutsche Bank fire in 2008, the US Airways Flight 1549 crash on the Hudson in 2009, and I also worked as a Paramedic First Responder throughout COVID 19 Pandemic in 2020. I have learned a great deal working in high-stress and dangerous environments. I have worked with many talented people and I have forged many friendships with various public safety professionals over the years.
I'm looking forward to contributing to your organization in any way I can, given the opportunity. Thank you for taking the time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Andrew J. Malone
