Performed elemental analysis on samples received from our clientele of pharmaceutical industries, following the related SOP’s to ascertain compositions of Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen and, Oxygen. Used analytical microbalance to prepare samples for analysis. Conditioned and calibrated microbalance and CHN Perkin Elmer elemental analyzer routinely as these instruments were used. Performed micro ash (ROI), along with USP ROI to determine trace levels of inorganic elements. Analyzed samples to quantify their levels of Sulfur, Chlorine, and Bromine by titration. Analyzed samples to determine melting points. Performed volumetric transferring of solutions. Consulted with supervisors on an as need basis in regards to ongoing and upcoming experiments. Regenerated copper using a copper regeneration method following the given SOP, which is to deoxidize copper. Performed data entry on aliquot samples subsequent to receiving results. Changed gas tanks as needed and assisted in the cleansing and sterilization of flasks and other glassware. Adopted and attained the knowledge to competently function in any laboratory setting.

Performed basic laboratory techniques following rheology and viscosity tests on different starches. Used Brabender instruments and NIR analysis to characterize starch products.
