Supervises nursing personnel of deliver nursing care and within scope of practice coordinates care delivery, which will ensure that patient’s needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, center policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines.

Treat and monitor patient wound care and parental feedings

Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments

Instruct and educate individuals, families, or other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, or childbirth.

Maintain records of patients vital records and daily medications

Manage a Unit of approximately 20 cenas and 20 Nurses

Manage a unit of 50-60 residents daily

Coordinates services with other departments to work effectively toward common goals

Manages the hiring process by participating in interviews, selection of staff and orientation of new employees

Assist in scheduling by helping to ensure adequate staff

Provides job-specific training, assigns work duties, supervises, provides coaching and counseling as needed

Praises and disciplines employees as required; conducts performances appraisals, determines associated annual merit pay increases and participates in termination process.
