Providence Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic, Providence, RI — Student OTA: Fieldwork level II

March 28- May 20, 2022

Planned interventions and activities for outpatient treatment sessions for veterans. Some common diagnosis for treatment sessions included carpal tunnel syndrome, RTC repair, stroke, ALS, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow. I used CPRS- electronic medical system to document each treatment session. I observed and issued AE/DME and customized splints.

Angelo Elementary School, Brockton, MA — Student OTA: Fieldwork level II

January 10- March 11, 2022

Worked alongside with an Occupational Therapist to create goals and interventions for ASD students from 1st- 5th grade. I assisted OTR with administration of standardized testing and obtaining data to help plan intervention and goals. Planned activities for group sessions and individual therapy sessions.

October 22- November 12, 2021

Observed an Occupational Therapist with 10+ years of experience in an outpatient rehab facility. I was able to observe new evaluations, re-evaluations, routine visits, splint making, and client-centered goal making.
