I worked in the Microbiology -Toxicity Lab preparing documentation, maintaining inventory of various media, scheduled and carried out microbiology and toxicity testing and analysis on food, water, soil and effluents.
As an Office Safety Environment Coordinator for Stantec Newfoundland Offices, I aided in the promotion of a positive Safety Work Environment by providing educational support to staff. I maintained documentation and records of Safety statistics for clients as well as Regulatory and Accreditation bodies. I participated in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Audits through our Accrediting bodies as well as facilitated Internal Audits to maintain COR Accreditation through NLCSA. I also collected data for the preparation and maintenance of reports and documentation for quality control under the ISO 9000:2008, 14001, 17025 and 18001 systems for auditing purposes.
For a short period of time I conducted Environmental Field work with the Environmental Remediation Group, collecting soil and water samples from contaminated work sites, air quality sampling as well as data management and report writing.
