Responsibilities
Varnish Room- Mix chemicals for varnishing primed shells. Load hopper with the shells and from there in to plates to be inspected for defects. Set shells to lockout tray to varnish them according to process procedure. Mix chemicals for proof loading the loaded rounds and proof load them according to process procedure. Record production, weigh buggies, mix chemicals for cleaning, and perform other duties of the varnish room as needed.
Plate loader- Using process procedures place primed shells and bullets into metal plates using a machine shaker then inspect them. Transfer plates to team member to be loaded with gun powder. Then assist with loading the bullets into the shells making a loaded round. Groover- Operate a groove cutting machine that makes the groove on the shell by design specifications. Control the machine and process, monitor components and surroundings, troubleshoot, clear jams, handle and move objects, evaluate and determine compliance with standards using visual inspection and gauges, perform general physical activities (load hopper with material, climbing, lifting, handling and moving materials .)
