Working for an organization battling the disease that claimed my Dad's life. I manage the Community Outreach for the State of Oklahoma while also serving as the Advocacy Director for both Federal and State issues for Oklahoma. Currently we have 5 outreach offices. Responsible for all financial and operational goals and have been successful utilizing a great team to exceed all the goals established for this office. Our state was one of the first in the nation to establish a Legislatively accepted State Plan in 2009 and we have updated it in 2015 providing us a roadmap for future opportunities to address Alzheimer's in legislation.
Grassroots Coordinator

Act as grassroots organizer contracted with the American Lung Association the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association to develop and implement initial and ongoing plans for Client's issue advocacy campaign, including but not limited to developing and managing a grassroots organization designed to build and demonstrate support for the SmokeFree Oklahoma effort, and leverage their organizational communication channels for educating and mobilizing supporters.
Identify key volunteers, get coalition groups involved in the statewide efforts, and serve as liaison between local coalitions and SmokeFree Oklahoma.
Build and maintain the client's Smokefree Oklahoma alliance's database of supporters and coordinate with SmokeFree Oklahoma Co-Campaign Managers to recruit 20 new alliance members. Be available to coordinate and attend volunteer training and community events to recruit supporters and promote SmokeFree Oklahoma, as needed for the execution of objectives. Monitor and maintain the SmokeFree Oklahoma website and correspondence.
